This will save your fingers.
For what you getting it seems a little pricey. The concept is pretty cool and it's very versatile. Pretty easy to use and definitely protect your fingers and keeps things steady when you're trying to thread a hook . When you take a look at how the hinge works I have a feeling if you use these a lot the hinge will eventually wear out and break. It is a clever little Gadget. Not really sure how useful the clip is.

Super Useful
Since I carry multiple rods when I fish, and I'm really just a low-tech amateur angler, these are really useful for keeping my car interior, my clothing and my fingers from getting caught on hooks when I carry my rods with the hooks already tied on. Also, I can have my rods in the house without worrying about my cat getting hooked. Great product -- I'm ordering some more!
