Hi Peggy - The Sterno S'mores Heat has a burn time of 45 minutes but if all the fuel is not used in one sitting it can be resealed and used again at a later time!

Q: Are the sterno cans the standard size sterno cans or do you need to buy the special "s'mores heat" branded sterno cans to have them fit in the tray?

Thank you for your inquiry. Other Sterno fuels are not appropriate for use with the Sterno S'mores Maker. Unlike Sterno S'mores Heat, the other fuels are not designed to work with the unique Sterno S'mores Maker Heat Management System.
