Snap Hoop Monster for Baby Lock/Brother (5" x 7") Magnetic Embroidery Hoop for Machine Embroidery

I love this hoop I have two others. I use them when quilting I don’t have to un-hoop the quilt to continue quilting. I lift the magnetic part of the hoop move the quilt over and continue quilting. It works great when embroidering sweatshirts

I am so happy with how easy it is to hoop t-shirts, etc with this magnetic hoop! It makes embroidering so much easier! I can center the design very easily + start embroidering much more quickly. The magnets keep the object secure and yet easily let go when you are ready to remove the object from the frame. I got both the 5x7 + 6x10 hoops. They are excellent investments.

Wow! this makes it so much easier to machine embroidery thick and bulky items, such as towels. No imprint from the hoop on your item and no fear the hoop is going to pop off while on the sewing machine. The magnetic hoop is very strong and difficult to separate the top from the bottom hoop if you forget to use the plastic separator. (Found out the hard way.) I used this on a Brother Dream Machine and it fit perfectly. If you are concerned about using a magnetic device on your machine, there are a couple of demonstrations on You Tube to help understand how it works.

Pros: the 5x7 works well on my Brother NQ1700e. Magnet is solid and strong.Cons: for the high price paid for this hoop, the manufacturer could have put a little more effort into the design. I can’t understand why they couldn’t have put grid marks on the top frame instead of giving you sticky back rulers that you have to work at to line up in order to have them accurate. By the way, instructions give you a website to go to in order to get a crosshair to stitch out to help. But there is none for a 5x7.And second complaint would be the soft backing strips which allows hoop to slide easily. They are peeling off after just two uses! Have to find a replacement for these very thin strips before the frame scratches my machine.

I have used the 6x10 Dime hoop for a few years and love it. My husband gifted me the 5x7 for Christmas. It will save fabric since I will be able to use smaller pieces.

I got the Snap Hoop Monster for my Baby Lock Embroidery machine and I love how easy it is to use. However, you have to be very careful when connecting the frame together so as not to pinch your fingers.

The 5x7 size was a wishlist item that I purchased when I saw it on sale. I have the 8x12 magnetic hoop I bought for doing end to end quilting on my embroidery machine but found it very large when I want to do smaller projects. This smaller size is so practical for doing monograms on big fluffy towels and even end to end quilting on smaller projects like table runners and placemats.
