Compression socks you can put on by yourself!!
My husband can now get these compression socks on without assistance. He is not oversize, but the XL compression socks on the market are impossible to get on and off without help. These extra wide socks are not as tight on his legs but they do the job and he will wear them more often because it is not such a hassle to always have to ask for help. Loves them and says they are super comfortable. Also actually attractive.

Best socks EVER!
I was amazed at how well these socks were made. They are a great buy for the money. They fit perfectly around my calves. I love them! I am diabetic and deal with a LOT of neuropathic pain and burning in my calves and ankles. The very instant that I put these amazing socks on, the burning pain is gone. They also help with the swelling that causes even more pain. I have tried other compression socks and none fit as well and as comfortably as these Boston compressions socks. It is very important that you read the size chart so you order the correct socks for your leg circumference and foot length. These make great stocking stuffers for friends and family that suffer from pain and swelling. They will love you even more when you take their pain away with these.

These are not your momma's socks - or maybe they are
These compression socks are very difficult to size accurately. This size is the best fit so far, but they are tight around the ankles. I appreciate how these images draw your attention to the measurements to be concerned with.

I’ve been buying these for years…
These are great compression socks. My partner has circulation issues in his legs and needs to wear compression socks on the daily. After some serious trial and error, we finally found these socks. They are thick and soft when they’re new, just like normal socks, but with the added benefit of moderate compression. The texture is great compared to all of the other socks we’ve bought, since they don’t make your feet slide when you walk so you aren’t smashing your toes into the tip of your shoes. My only real complaint is that they need to be line dried to increase their longevity, and that the price fluctuates pretty regularly. But with those small issues aside, between our two Amazon accounts, we’ve probably purchased 100 pairs over the years and still keep coming back.

False Advertising!!
I've tried "wide" socks from other companies and they clearly do not know what "wide" calves actually look like. They always send me very narrow socks meant for very skinny legs! So in desperation, I went looking for companies whose socks were specifically and only meant for large, full calves. This photo caught my eye, because my calves are not that wide - so if their socks would fit those calves then I should be able to easily wear them. I ordered "X-Wide" even though my measurements were at the bottom of their size ranges for an extra-wide calf. They arrived today and are the exact same narrow size sock that I've been receiving from all of the other companies!! They're probably made in the same place! I tried putting them on (just in case they were somehow magically stretchy) and they were a joke! I could barely get them half way up my 19" calf and they say they can accommodate up to a size 24"! They also say they fit a 9-10 shoe size. I wear a size 10 and the foot area was so long it could have fit a 12" foot. I also have full ankles - and the ankle area was the only thing that their photo got right! The ankle area of the sock was ridiculously narrow and severely tight with very little give. So frustrated!!

These are great socks, and they are a little more comfortable ...
These are great socks, and they are a little more comfortable on my large calves than some others that I have tried. I wear a size 8 in women's shoes, and just like all other brands, the foot part is too big/long, so when I have the socks on, the toe area has a lot of extra material hanging off at the toe, so it is very uncomfortable inside a shoe all wadded up in there .... Just because someone has large calves - doesn't necessarily mean that their foot is also large. I wish someone would come up with a pair of compression socks that didn't have such a large foot too.

Very wide calves and they work
I have yet to find a pair of boots that fit my calves - even the extra extra wide ones, let alone socks. These actually fit - you do have to read the instructions on how to put them on, yes they are socks, but if you just try to pull them up like regular socks - it won't work if you have large calves. Trust me, do your self the favor and read how to put them on and then you will be very happy with them. (Some of the instructions say to use gloves....I haven't gone that far, and I have machine washed but not dried them) I have worn these on flights, on long days on a worksite, and just around town while doing a lot of walking. They don't get too tight or bite into the top of my calf at the top where they stop to the point where I need to take them off or pinch. To be honest, I was just happy to find a pair of socks that would actually go all the way up - compression or not.

Nope. No way. Not for my extra wide calves.
I have the boston extra wide White calf compression sleeves. They fit great for width. I have to wear them down around my instep, so they go from the middle of my foot up into my knee compressing my ankles which swell. But they're starting to lose their elasticity. And I need black ones. I wanted a pair of that were actual socks so I tried this, it's States it's the same compression gauge and width size around the calf. Hello no it's not! I have a very wide calf, 20ish" depending on the day. This pair of socks was actually extremely painful to wear. I managed to get them up to my knee, however they just about cut the circulation off because of the tightness of the band which goes just under & behind my knee. Honestly, they were actually painful instead of therapeutic. I won't even mention that form I use the feet are so long I would have had to cut the toes off and sewed them up to actually make a pair of socks that would have fit. Returning them.
