I was trying to find a larger jar of this gel. This is a sample size and not for continuous use. The hold is not so great on 4C hair. The price is rather high for such a small jar. Will probably not purchase again unless a larger size is available.

I really love this gel. I bought all pattern products and they are some of the best hair products i have ever used. My hair feels so moisturized and is very defined. I have thick type 4 hair for reference. The gels gives a good cast but it doesn’t get too crunchy and i haven’t experienced any flaking so far. The strong hold gel with the cream is the perfect combination. 10/10 recommend.

First, the good. Smells great, has a smooth texture and does tame curlies. However, who cares if when it dries its an itchy flaky mess! Absolutely horrific! I washed my hair, if you have long, thick curly hair then you know how arduous wash day is. I applied this and was happy until the next day when i noticed all of these flaky deposits on my scalp. I tried to re wet it to maybe dissolve the flakes but it only made it more tacky like glue. Within a few hours it was itchy and my whole head had flakes. I was so mad because this meant i had to re wash my hair. I tried to use only a tiny bit on my hair only to have the flakes again. This is awful! I wanted to love this product but it's a waste of money. I have used hundreds of thousands of products on my curly hair and have never experienced anything close to this. Im glad I bought the smallest size. In the TRASH!

I have non porous hair which means it is easy to weight my hair down. I have mixed hair textures as well. The texture is thick and heavier than I expected. I typically stay away from creams so I went with this gei. It defines curls and hold well but ….. but my hair feels heavy and coated. I’m gonna try it one more time….using less of it to see if that works and will do a follow up review
