Maybelline New York Color Sensational Dark Silver Lipstick Metallic Lipstick, Gunmetal, 0.15 oz

I came across this item quite by accident. I already had enough in my cart to meet the add on minimum and I just love a light shade of shimmer or metallic lipstick. It reminds me of the 60’s and can really take a basic neutral makeup look to another level of fabulousness!Pros: The price, wears very comfortably, can be used solo or as a topper and requires minimum touch ups for such a light shade of lipstick.Cons: I cannot think of a single one. Oh, finding a gold metallic lip liner to match. I ended up using a gold metallic pencil eyeliner and it works perfect. Side note, you can also change the hue, based on your liner shade. I also have used a light pink metallic lip liner and loved it. One comment said it is straight up white. I disagree. If it does appear too light on your complexion, just apply it over a lip liner or line your lips a bit thicker than usual. Once the lipstick glides over the liner, it will pick up that hue.Wearability: I wear this over a thin, but emollient balm. As a caveat, I do drink everything, hot or cold, with a straw. I probably do not look the most lady-like when I eat either, because I try to not totally ruin my lipstick. That being said, I also brush my teeth at least once during the work day. I only ever have to touch up once, perhaps twice. It literally is just a couple swipes across my lips. I don’t even require a mirror , nor do I have to re-do the liner.Conclusion: I typically purchase high end makeup, but have a few ‘inexpensive hidden gems’ in my collection. This item just made that list.

It wasn’t the metallic that I thought it would be, so I wore it with a combination of other colors, which worked great until one of my other colors ran out. Then it really didn’t look great except with the other combinations. So it’s a cute color, but not exactly what Iwanted.

I was so glad to find this lipstick available from this seller as it is my favorite color and had not been able to find it locally. It was a good price, altho the delivery date shown was a few more days out than expected. I was very surprised and delighted to receive the pkg today, within 5 days of when it was ordered and very pleased with the quick service provided. THANK YOU!

I have absolutely NO problem with the vendor and delivery time.I ordered thinking the color would be a dark copper. It's more brown, but my bone to pick is that it's as dark green as dark brown. Additionally, it didn't even stay on my lips as I put it on. I do have light olive skin, but I think the color would be horrendous on most people. Additionally, I use many Maybelline lipsticks that stay on for hours. I ordered this thinking it would, too...ZERO stars if I were given that option.

Definitely a bronze, neutral tone. Pic on ad looked a tad different. Nonetheless it's a great color. I do like the color, I was just searching, hoping, for more of a metallic or shimmer, or frost. Its has a hint of metallics or shimmer, but I was wanting more along that line. That all being said, when u have to buy online and cannot be physically present for shade selection, I'd say, it was more of a hit than a miss, being I was flying in the dark so to speak in ordering online, unable to go out n physically visit a store and actually see the very item n color prior to purchase. Great price so no regrets in adding this color to my on hand options. No disrespect Intended to the item, the ad, or the seller. I am very content. Hope this helps.

I was hoping for a more "bronzy-gold" color, but this is very dark, almost dark brown on the lips. If that is what you are looking for, then this will do fine, but it is a bit too dark for me, as a blond. I do like Maybelline lipsticks, and my favorite color right now is "Plum Paradise."

Okay - I LOVE THIS! I own like 52 billion red lipsticks, have them stashed in my purse, my car, my office.1. This lasts all day and didn't fade through plenty of drinks and food.2. This is a FANTASTIC color. Like I love a bright red against my wondrous chocolate skin but this is the PERFECT fall red, less bright but still an intense color, the metallic affect is beautiful with out being too much of a dark red. This is the right balance between a vampy red and a bright red and it has won my whole heart.3. Given how much I love this it is a STEAL for the price.4. No weird chemical smells and it glide on nicely5. My ONLY note for improvement would be that the packaging could be prettier and more dolled up, but then it probs wouldn't be as cheap as it is, so, eh.
