Works as expected.
I used this device to simplify the interface between my Denon AVR receiver and a VCR. It works just as it should. Anyone complaining about the picture has forgotten what TV low resolution looked like prior to HD and 4k.

Bought it to play my ps2 on modern TV.
Bought it to play my playstation 2 on my 70 inch. Samsung TV. The picture quality and sound is great. It was simple and easy to set up and we'll worth the money.

Doesn't work with Directv and my old Samsung tv
I ordered this due to an error message on Directv that my older tv needed components in order to connect, even though my old Samsung tv had an HDMI port. Unfortunately, it didn't work. However, it did work on my new Vizio Smart tv (that didn't have an HDMI connection). Apparently this is a communication error with the equipment from Directv - I found several posts from people having the same issue.

Worst product ever!
This thing arrived at my door and was horrible from the time I hooked it up. Certain DVDs would crash my PS2 with a black screen, when I would reboot, all graphics would glitch out and not display properly. All my other component and composite cable worked perfectly fine and my PS2 would not crash using them, just this HDMI device.Sad! I will never buy another one ever!!!

Does what it’s supposed to do
My husband purchased this to connect our Roku to an older tv model that didn’t have the correct connection. So far it is working fine.
