Yes. The magnets are very strong.

Q: What kind of glue do I use to stick the cord into the clasp?

I use two differennt glues but prefer one of them The one I prefer is E6000. The other one is G-S Hypo Cement.Both are good products but it depends on whether or not you want something that dries quicker than the other and that would be the E6000. It goes into a tacky stage after a little while and should be firm in about 8-10 hours. The G-S is longer to set; overnight is best.
