At this price I couldn't resist.
So I have not used these. I bought one set first and took them to the beach but it was all hard packed so I didn't get to use them for me and anybody else, usually it's soft and I at least help someone.I wanted to try them out before buying more but at the price the green ones dropped to I could not resist. I got the first set for $65 and the second for $55, when in black they were a tad over $100. At that price even if I do break them I think they will be worth it.From the reviews it seems these may not like the cold and become brittle. Being in Texas I don't think that will be an issue so I took the chance on them.Time will tell and if I get a chance to use them I will update this review.

Holds boards on roof
I bought these to go along with a pair of fieryred traction boards. the product is definitely more of a semi permanent installation, which is OK but if I ever wanted to throw a piece of plywood up on my roof, I would have to use a wrench and uninstall them. Definitely a consideration when buying these. Also to use your traction boards you have to remove and keep track of a knob a washer and a little metal tube for each mount. Seems easy to loose and would be nice if it was all one piece.

Great for the price!
I received these very quickly, and they met my expectations so well i decided to order a second set. I haven't tested them yet but have every bit of confidence they will perform with what i will throw them at mainly sand and snow dont do much mud bogging. For the price you cant go wrong!

Sturdy, priced right, and waiting to be tested...
I looked at these for a while, and read the reviews. My Tahoe has an open rear diff, so I get stuck occasionally...this should provide the traction needed. Will update the review if they fail, but as I bought them as Returned Stock, and they dropped the price even further, I'm super happy. Bought a couple of threaded J hooks and some threaded knobs...easily mounted to roof rack. I do have a cheapo strap on them too as a backup for the bolts, but they are holding perfectly.

DO NOT BUY THIS TRASH!
Absolutely garbage! Everything, including the nut hardware, is rusting after only ONE day post install. It’s unbelievable that you are charging $50+ for this trash. This product is a scam and the reviews are guaranteed inaccurate. Do yourself a favor and piece these mounts together from the hardware store. It’s a shame we can’t leave zero star reviews for things like this.

Worked for me
I got my garden tractor stuck in sloppy mud. So I took my jeep back to drag it out and got my jeep stuck in the slop. Ordered these on a Monday got them on Wednesday at 10am. By 10:30 my jeep and garden tractor were on firm ground. Seem to be very sturdy and they worked better than I expected. Both vehicles got immediate traction and had enough momentum to get to dryer ground.

They work.
The price was right on these! I bought 2 pair for my tacoma at about the same cost as a single pair of maxtrax. I bought them in the middle of winter, used them to dig a stuck vehicle out of the snow. They worked exceptionally well for that. I decided I was really going to test them out and went snow wheeling in about 2.5-3 feet of snow. Hard crust on top with powder underneath. I’m lifted 3” with 33 inch tires and was pretty heavy. When the Tacoma did break through, the traction boards shined. Was able to use them in multiple configurations to gain momentum, get unstuck, dig out snow, use them as a ramp to get back on top of the hard crust. I even used them to make a road to turn around in deep snow where I knew I was going to get stuck. They worked great and I’m really excited to have them. Now the bad. They stack ok, but don’t stack very thin. They take up a lot of room, even in the bed of my pickup. A mounting system is definitely needed. Not a huge issue. My biggest complaint is that even in the soft snow, it’s obvious that they aren’t going to hold up to bending too many times before they break. They already have stress marks from where they bent. I have a feeling that if I were to use them on anything other than sand or snow, they’ll probably break. At the price though, you could buy them multiple times over before hitting the same price of a set of 4 maxtrax.Update: April 2021I’ve had these for about a year and a half now and have used them probably 20 times for different recoveries on my vehicles and others. They are starting to show signs of wear and some of the lugs are broken or worn from tire spin. One of the big things that I’ve noticed that’s an issue with these boards is that there is a significant ramp up to the top of the board. Maybe an inch and a half that the tire has to climb before it gets onto the lugs. Not such a huge issue in sand or deep snow, but if you’re trying to jamb these underneath tires on ice, hard dirt, or any other low compression surface, the tires may have a hard time getting to the traction lugs. After trying to use them on my neighbors tundra in the snow, I’ve found that if you don’t have mud terrains or an all terrain tire, the tire won’t grab the lugs to pull the board underneath the tire. He had highway tires and they just spun on the lugs. Before I purchased these, I’d never actually seen a set of traction boards in person. I wanted to buy a cheap board to see if I’d actually like them and use them. For me, the answer is yes, I love them and use them regularly, but will be buying a Brand name like tred or maxtrax when these ones do break mainly for durability and slimmer profile.

Good product saves a lot of work
Overall a good product, saves time getting all the nuts and bolts. You could build this cheaper although this saves time coming in a kit. A better system would be made from stainless steel instead of zinc coated hardware. A stick of all thread SS bolt rod washers and nuts would last longer. Everything is figured out for you and cut to length already here.
