Pertronix D72000 Flame-Thrower HEI III 4 Pin Ignition Module (GM)

Put this on my 355 Chevy and it cleaned it right up revved way better idled better fixed a misfire issue and didn’t hesitate to go to 8500rpm but I bought it because 8500rpm is a problem, set the rev limiter up at 6900 exactly as the instructions stated and it did not work 6 long pulses 9 short and let it flash 5 times

Cold starts are improved, idle has cleaned up a tad. The inclusion of a rev limiter is fantastic. It does take some effort to setup, however if you miss a gear, or your auto takes a dump you will want a rev limiter. Other reviews have stated failures after a relatively short amount of time. I will update this review if that is the case for me. I followed the installation instructions to the letter. Thermal grease was applied after cleaning the area inside the distributor.

I can’t recommend, it didnt perform as advertised, the rev limiter adjustment had no effect after several attempts even off, it was popping and misfiring at 5200 no matter what I tried, switched back to stock module and my engine revved cleanly to 6000, no issues. I changed wires, coil, checked ground at distributor even retarded the timing....but it was just a defective unit, I could have gotten a replacement at no charge, but decide to just install a stock replacement at half the price.

Installed on a sbc 350 with a mild cam, idles a bit better now but really starts w/o cranking much, like it
