Gift The Unexpected & The Ooooh😏
This saber is beautiful, EZ to handle & will definitely make a conversation pc for those whom have never owned or used one (✋🏼), I've been a bubbly 🍾 girl for a lifetime & have never witnessed the use of a saber sword. It's very easy to use & always be aware this is very sharp so use accordingly! I'm still in full b'day season/mode & also holidays approaching so there'll be some more popping/saber-(ing)happening ☺️More photos to come. We did a small demo/video & it got trashed🫢 && U can only do a bottle opening once! (Lol)....I will probably mount mine over my wine rack/bar. Dope 🎁 & an introduction to something new; housewarming, weddings...etc.. be the unexpected gift 🍾😊

Nicer than many, but doesn't meet the price point
I'm in a group of friends who we have gifted each a sabre as they graduate law school. Sounds posh, but a good champagne sabre is not based on price- but value. This sabre is much better than the last one I reviewed in most ways, except that it falls short of others in some important ways.First off, a sabre is rarely holding any edge at all- as it doesn't need one and it would be more likely to cause an unfortunate incident. A GOOD sabre has a balance to it, but more importantly has a HEFT to it- as the heavier the saber, the easier it punts the annulus off cleanly. A lightweight sabre transmits the shock back to the handle more and doesn't carry as much energy to cleanly break off the tip of the bottle. Weak attempts can break the bottle, result in chipping the rim of the bottle, or broken shards of glass. This sabre is light and has a small handle. That small handle reduces the ability to maintain proper blade angle.Pros: This is a better looking sabre than many, for sure. The small size could make it easier to display if using it for a special occasion.Cons: Small, light weight, small handle. The outer box isn't worthy of display, but the liner inside the box is nice and can be removed and placed in a proper display.Summary: I have evaluated sabres that are superior to this, without spending more- however I've seen far many worse ones than better. Choose wisely.

Good luck not cutting yourself.
Overpriced gimmick that has a 1% chance of working, with a 0% chance of results without injury.

A fun gimmick
Price - $139.95 for a gimmick is a bit much, but I guess if you’re only going to use it only a few times in your life that’s alright. 3/5Packaging -Comes in a white box with a hidden magnetic close mechanism. Custom molded suede material for packing. 5/5Design -It's a quality blade, but comes off as very manufactured and a bit cheap. The blade itself is of course dull since it is not meant for cutting. It is high polished with a mirror finish & some engraving on it. There are no major defects in the craftsmanship. The wood on the handle seems almost fake if not outright imitation would. It's gilded with gold and is full tang for those wondering about durability. There is a small silver leaf on the hilt which looks awkward, but is supposed to be a marker for where your thumb goes, I suppose. 4/5Overall, it's a good-looking blade that does what it's supposed to do. It won't necessarily break the bank & is a fun gimmick to pull out at parties. I do wish it were high quality & not have a dollar store knife level hilt.4 out of 5 stars

Absolutely Perfect!
This is a very well made Champagne Saber. If you don't know what a sable like this is for, definitely look up some videos. This is the old school aristocratic way of celebrating with Champagne. You cannot reuse the bottle if you open it this way.If you are looking for that perfect gift for that person who has everything and needs nothing then this is a great option. It's classy and attractive. Oh, and it is an interesting bit of human history that is a great conversation starter too.Definitely Recommended.

Nice but overpriced
For the occasional novelty of opening champagne with a saber, this will do the trick. At half the price I’d feel pretty good but at full price, the quality is not up to snuff. The blade is highly polished and unpolished/unfinished areas stick out like a sore thumb. Take a look at the photo and you will notice one such area near the top of the bolster. While the blade may be balanced, the handle is very light and the diameter is quite small so handling is awkward. When resting the blade on a bottle, no problem and be sure to hold on tight when finishing your stroke through the annulus. We will certainly use the Sabre as it seems durable but at this price, the quality needs to be improved.

Works as intended!
This sword worked as intended. The price point is way too much in my opinion. It has a slightly dull edge so it's not meant for slicing or cutting but that doesn't meat you couldn't sharpen it to make it so. Overall, it popped my champagne with no problem but if you can go cheaper, please do so...

This is a nice looking sword!
You see so many videos online of people breaking the champagne bottle or dropping it, but I got that cap off easily with this champagne sword. Might take a few attempts for a newbie but overall easy and comfortable to hold. I plan on hanging this on the wall above my bar because it has a nice look to it.
