Breitsamer Honey Flip-Top Jar, Rapsflower Blossom, 35.27 Ounce

I love honey but am a bit particular about type/flavor. The squirt bottle grocery store bears are too sugary with (to me) a sharpness that makes my throat burn a little. Orange blossom is lovely IF you like the perfume-y taste. Orange blossom is one of my great favorites for the scent, but eating the scent not so much. It has too much of a perfume flavor for me.I enjoy single-species honeys as well as the nice blends like wildflowers, or mountain flowers, desert, etc. Buckwheat is a bit strong for me, but delicious if you like a dark, strong honey. I had never heard of Rapsflower from Germany, and in spite of the cost (to try. If I hated it, well money wasted). I laid down the $21 figuring it had to be decent, it was a pale, whipped color so mild perhaps, plus the jar was a very heavy, glass, vacuum jar with the lid with a metal handle-lock.It was and is THE best honey of all I have tried thus far. It is mild but has a delicious taste, not too light as to be low on taste, but not overwhelming like a dark buckwheat. My husband, formerly wishy-washy on honey. Ok but no big love for it. He was hooked! He loves it as much as I do. It has a semi-whipped texture, soft but not TOO solid. Sort of a combo whipped and fluid. It is easy to spread on things, but liquid-y enough to measure easily and accurately for recipes. Honestly after trying it, I saved it for straight-up eating on toast, yogurt, etc, it was way too good to hide in foods or baked goods!This has beaten even the delicious, very freshly bottled, local aviaries’ honeys. If you enjoy honey, try it! And bonus - you get a really high quality, very heavy glass, clamp-lid jar. It practically screams for you to store your weed in it.Advice - buy it when it is $21 or thereabouts, cheaper if you can. Watch it, it went to $32 for awhile recently. I had come here to get another jar and at seeing the price, umm, hell no. I just waited awhile, making do with other quality honeys, till the price fell again. You have to watch Amazon and their prices. They are tricky and kinda underhanded.

This honey is awesome. The jar was pretty cool. I don’t pay this much for this honey offline but it also doesn’t have this big glass jar.
