Riveting!
I am totally riveted by Fawcett's experiences in Bolivia, Peru and Brazil in the early 20th century. So much so, I'm reading only a chapter a day because I don't want to get to the end. His writing style takes you there with him, with the piranhas, the cannibals, the men who laugh when others get sick and die because that's their reality and the only way to combat it is to get drunk and laugh. Wow!

A man who knew the Amazon better than any Westerner
Percy Fawcett was an interesting guy. A man who knew the Amazon better than any Westerner, but also one who was inclined to be mystical and follow the teachings of people like Theosophy's Helena Blavatsky. How that affected his fateful expedition and what may have happened to him are all discussed in detail.

This was one of the most entertaining books I've read ...
This was one of the most entertaining books I've read in awhile. It looks at both the scientific and spiritual side of Fawcett and his quest, which lent more dimensions to his expedition. There are also a ton of theories about his disappearance and fate.

this is more like a pamphlet not a book
this is more like a pamphlet not a book. I understand that not much is really known, but I feel this was a waste of money
