Best Nightguard Ever! Give yourself time to get used to it.
I have always had trouble with clenching and grinding, and have gotten more help from this nightguard than from any other. I bought my second one about a month ago, after using the first one for six years. Originally, I was nervous about the negative reviews, but since my dentist had recommended it, I gave it a try. It's important to read the instructions on the package. The whole point of using this nightguard is that it trains your jaw muscles to relax in a slightly open position, training you not to clench and grind. It takes a while to get used to it, and it's important to give yourself time. The first step is to correctly adjust the bite pads for the size of your mouth (they have a couple of different adjustment settings). The first night I wore it I barely slept, worried that it was going to slip out of place and choke me or something. During the first week, it gradually got better, although a couple of times I woke up with it out of place. After that, my mouth learned to keep it in place unconsciously. It really does form to your mouth over time. It took about a month before I could close my lips and was really comfortable wearing it. It's a process, but it's totally worth it. Now I find myself grinding much less during the day, and my jaws feel better. I can even be ok skipping the nightguard for a few nights at a time. Over the six years that I had my first one, it never showed any signs of weakening or cracking. It did yellow and get a lot of hard water buildup, but that didn't seem to affect performance. However, it is not recommended to use it for six years. I should have replaced mine about 2 years earlier, because two years ago I started getting chronic cracking in the corners of my mouth, which I could never permanently solve, and when I replaced the nightguard it went away on its own. I think it must have had some kind of microbes embedded in it by that point. So it is important to replace it now and then, even if it still works mechanically.Bottom line--this is a genius nightguard design and I highly recommend giving it a serious try, and giving yourself time to adjust before you give up on it.

Pleasantly surprised!
When I got this it seemed flimsy and a little uncomfortable with the strap across the front, which made my lips bulge open. But it is incredibly comfortable for sleep. All the boil and bite one’s I’ve purchased before always felt like they were shifting my bite, or two narrow somehow, pushing on the sides of my teeth. Because you don’t mold this one, and it is a little flimsy, you can position it just where you want it and don’t need it perfectly fitted. I do wear it upside down as for me the strap across the front fits better across my top teeth, but it works perfectly fine. Feels nice and cushy compared to others I’ve used.

Floppy, potentially a choking hazard
The product is very floppy, so I have no confidence in it staying put in my mouth as I sleep. Therefore, it would fall out and be useless, or I could accidentally swallow it and choke to death. Bottom line is this is a terrible product and is unsafe for use. Do not buy

Not for very small mouths, but can be adjusted
I had to trim a section of the part that sticks between my teeth because it left no room for my tongue. I narrowed the front half of the plate to compensate for my smaller teeth in the front of my mouth. I have tried other brands and more expensive versions from this company, and this is the best I have found. I also wear it upside down because the front piece was hurting my lower gum. My upper gum seems more sturdy and does not develop sores. While the protective part can be pushed forward for smaller mouths, it obviously was not developed for people like me. Many items do not think about adults under five feet tall, and I have heard the same thing about particularly tall adults. There is no such thing as one size fits all.

Strange but effective
The mouth piece fits nicely into the mouth. But it rubs weird in the inner lip. I thought it would slip out, but it does not. Good quality, not going to be ale to bite through it.

What can I say other than I like it?
I read other reviews that talk about adjusting the guard. I’ve had mine a couple of years and remember only popping it in and being pleasantly surprised at its comfort. It’s squishy and sort of adjusts to what I want. I don’t grind but clamp down hard. This helps with pain in the jaw muscles, even tho I still am clamping. And I’m buying a second one for when I’ve misplaced my guard … again. (Yeah, I’ve got 2 pairs of glasses as well.)

Fits very loosely
Didn’t stay in while I slept and felt very uncomfortable no matter how I adjusted them

Relief! I've used it for ~2months straight w 3weeks of international travel and I love it
Super easy to use and ended up being simple to adjust to wearing. Very thin design! I was actually nervous it wouldn't hold up. I've tried about seven different sleeping mouth guards for grinding and I've ended spitting them out in the middle of the night, or they're just so deeply uncomfortable or difficult to mold to my jacked up teeth. This is a winner for me! It's also helped me become more aware of how often I clench my teeth in general because of how the bite pads are designed, so that's nice.I have not yet gotten an opinion from a dentist on the state of my grinding now after using this guard, however my partner says the only thing I do now is ocassionally lightly snore. I used to wake her up with the grinding, so I'll take it!There were a couple times in the early days that I woke up from having shoved the guard to the sides of my mouth and was grinding my teeth a bit, but was able to correct. I started putting the guard in maybe like half an hour before I actively try to sleep--i.e., reading a book or scrolling before bed, talking with my partner (yes, you can talk clearly with it in your mouth!), watching videos, etc.--to settle into wearing it, and that's been the most useful, I think. It's also easy to clean/keep fresh. The case for it is durable with an airhole so it doesn't get nasty sitting in there
