Easy install
This is a direct replacement for the OEM support on my 2007 Tundra. Very easy to install. Seems to have a little less support than the original equipment support did. It works ok…and much cheaper to purchase. Hopefully it lasts. Thank you.

Fits my 08 Tundra perfectly! Easy to install.
I have had it now for a couple of months and the tailgate performs like it was new thanks to this replacement strut. The tailgate now lowers slowly and it takes much less effort to close. There are many videos online that show how to replace the strut. The hardest part for me was removing the left side taillight to gain access to the strut mounts.

High Quality, fits like a glove, install in 5 minutes!
Surprised how easy this job is and forgot how nice it was to have the assist mechanism. Tailgate now opens slow and smooth, and closes with a nice gentle assist. Old one popped out with flat head screwdriver. New one popped on in its place. Taking the tail light out, R/R, reinstall tail light took 5 minutes.

Fit tundra
Easy replacement item for 2008 tundra. Just remove 2 screws on driver side taillight, and the rest is sort of obvious. Wish the piston strength was more… but it’s still a big improvement over the tired piston it replaced.
