LEGO Technic Rescue Helicopter 8068

This was a Christmas gift for my grandson age 11! He loved it!

Great LEGO copter. Once you get started putting this together then it's hard to stop.My 4 year old (almost 5) and I have been working on it off and on. It's too difficult for him to do by himself but with an adult's help it's a great parent/child "puzzle type project". The pieces fit together well, the instructions are clear, and it's pretty cool looking. 5 stars.A minor quibble: I wish it included a helicopter pilot but it doesn't.

This was high on his Christmas list, he loves Lego sets. He opened this at 6am, and finished building it a few minutes ago. It is much larger than I expected, and he had a great time building it. It is now in a place of honor on shelf with his other Lego models.

Nice to see something other than a land based vehicle from Technic. It is very aesthetically pleasing, looks just like the real one and involves nice mechanisms to make both rotors turn and undercarriage retract. Robust - Stays together solidly once built.Good value for money (this has been dropped to 30 dollars for some time now) - a much better buy than some much smaller more expensive sets. Get it while you can!

For its design, this rescue helicopter has about the right number of pieces. The 2010 model (8046) is too wimpy whereas the 2012 set (9396) is unnecessarily bulky.The alternative model ("regular" helicopter) is nice too although I do wish it used more pieces. It itches to have so many leftover pieces at completion.Incidentally, because the 8046 is basically a skimmed down version of this, we were able to put together an almost exact replica of 8046 using pieces from this and some pieces from 8070 (i.e. 2011's Super Car).This set would be perfect for the money if bought in 2011 (MSRP $39.99) but now it can be a bit pricey. Still, if you can get this for $60 or less, you should go for it!

Was a gift for a child. It looks used and the box was beaten up. It was sold as new.

Having arrived ahead of the promised delivery, this item was the perfect gift for a birthday on Spring break.Grandson, now 10, had it built in about 6 hours without a single bit of adult assistance.A most interesting finished model, looking very complex and intricate.

I had previously purchased the Technic Airplane for my Grandson and he loved it! I sent this Rescue Helicopter to him directly for his Birthday and he was so excited when it arrived on his doorstep. He started building it right away and he hasn't stopped telling me how much he likes this Technic Helicopter! That says it all!
