Works Perfectly [if you have the right power supply]
My new surround sound system requires a active subwoofer, however my nice sub is passive.Got this item and hooked it up and was originally disappointed due to lackluster performance and it making the sub sound as if it were blown at higher volumes. This was simply a power supply problem. I was using a 12v 1amp PSU. located a 12v 2.5amp PSU and the audio distortion went away. Eventually bought a 15v 5amp PSU and the sound is amazing.I soldered leads for the input directly to the board and then just mounted the board to the side of my desk for easy access to adjust the volume late at night without having to adjust anything on the decoder.

Failed in 10 minutes
First I want to explain what I purchased this small amp to do...We have a camper that I replaced the stereo head unit in. The new unit does not have speaker level output for the subwoofer. However, it does have a line level out for a sub.We do not go to a campground to shake rattle and roll. So I did not need nor want a powerful system, just one that would add a little bass to the sound. Therefore, wattage wise, this one would be sufficient.I connected the unit to the sub (5" 4 ohm) and powered the amp via the house ~13.5 vdc. The amp cam on as it should and the sub began playing as it should while I adjusted the volume of the amp. I let it play for a couple of minutes, and went into the system EQ to make some adjustments to the sound. While it did not sound fantastic, I was not upset with it either. Just wanted to make some adjustments.About 10 minutes into playing, the bass suddenly stopped. I turned the entire system off then back on with the same result. I did that again, this time leaving it off for several minutes. When I turned it back on, it was with the same result as before. The stereo was working. It had sound coming from each speaker...except the subwoofer.I confirmed that this amp still had power, still had a signal, and was still connected to the subwoofer speaker itself. All those tests passed. I tried changing outputs coming from the stereo system...still nothing came out of the subwoofer. So all in all, it worked almost long enough to adjust the EQ in my system. The thing is, as I said to start with, I was not looking for anything GREAT. I just wanted it to work.I can not recommend something that only works for a few minutes. I am glad it quit before I drilled holes and mounted it.

Great amp for the price
This is an incredible board for the price. It ran two 15w shaker subs like I needed. The only down side I found was the DC power jack does not work. This is because they connected pin 3 (the connection detect pin) of the jack to the ground plain instead of pin 2. I had to solder a jumper wire between pins 2 and 3 in order to get the jack working.

Muddy and distorted at all volume levels
I can not get this amp to perform properly no matter what I try. It is muddy and distorted at all volume levels. Speaker is good, the power supply is 15V 0-10A, source is good, wiring, enclosure... everything checks out except the amp. I give up. This thing sucks.

Versatile little amp
Purchased it to power a passive subwoofer from an old Sony surround-sound system. Found an old 12 VDC power supply, cut off the male end and wired it right in! Wired up the sub, plugged in the headphone jack from the computer and I'm good to go!

Way, way better than expected
I had an old Samsung subwoofer PS-FW1-2 that belonged to a Home Theater set that bit the dust. I liked the subwoofer for its compact size... but its an odd 3 ohm speaker. I saw this mini amp is rated at 4 ohms at 15V, so I figured close enough. Sure enough, paired with a 15V 2A power adapter this mini amp works very well. With a line-level input, I've only got the volume up about half way to balance the mains pretty well, so at least with the 15V 2A adapter its got plenty of power to spare. I highly recommend this product - could not be happier!

Exploded
2 seconds after adding 5v of power one of the capacitors exploded. Waste of money.
