Sweet and full of 🔥!
I absolutely loved this romcom! Harboring a secret love for each other, neither Bree nor Nathan want to risk the heartbreak of losing their best friend. Will they ever break out of the friend zone? This steamy closed door Romantic comedy had me laughing out loud in nearly every chapter. While the plot was often light, there was also a satisfying range of conflict and triumph. And the writing…it was unique and beautiful and masterfully done—one of the best crafted romcoms I’ve ever read. The metaphors, especially, had me in stitches and in awe simultaneously. Both protagonists are entirely lovable. With distinct vulnerabilities and struggles as well as endearing strengths and quirks, they are exactly the type of characters I love and enjoy rooting for—and the kind of people I’d love to call my friends. The supporting characters enrich the plot and add plenty of humor. And talk about relationship goals! There was simply too much to love about this that I couldn’t list it all.The Cheat Sheet is probably my favorite Sarah Adam’s book to date. It gets all the thumbs and all the stars!!!

Cute read
📚BOOK REVIEW📚The Cheat Sheet by Sarah AdamsRating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5Spice level: 0/3Genre: Contemporary Sports RomanceTropes:-fake dating-football player & ballerina-childhood best friends to lovers-childhood crushes-famous football player-slow burn romance-dual POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~This was a cute read. This was written dual POV, so we actually get to see both characters being hopelessly in love with each other. It was both cute and frustrating. Like if you were friends with one of them in real life, you would want to smack them and say “use your gd eyeballs fam”. Their level of delusion was a little unbelievable/unrealistic though. The characters have funny/witty banter and the events that happen are pretty funny as well, but Bree’s personality annoys me a bit.The author also time jumps around a lot so we don’t actually get to see the events happening, just a recap after they’ve already happened (which is kind of a bummer sometimes).Overall, though, this was a cute sports romance.

I love this book so much <3
I’m usually a romantasy girl through and through, but I ATE THIS BOOK UP. These contemporary romcoms are giving me all kinds of feels lately. 😂In the post-book interview with Sarah Adams, she said “I set out to write a romance that was so cozy and sweet, it gave me cavities.” She definitely achieved that with this book. Was it a deep, meaningful story with unique tropes or writing? No. But I still fully enjoyed the sizzling, closed-door chemistry that, in my opinion, a lot more books these days could use. I read this book in one day, if that’s any indication for how much I loved it 😂🥰

3.5 Comedy Romance stars
I wanted to like this story more than I did because its heart is in the right place, but ultimately, it didn't work for me, but it might for you. First, the positives, the characters, including Nathan's teammates, were charming and likable. Plus, there were many genuinely funny moments here. What didn't work for me was the story and pacing, which dragged on repeating the same point over and over--they can't admit they are in love with each other for fear of losing their friendship. This went on for 3/4 of the book. Also, this felt more like a YA book to me, not just because it was closed-door, but the characters felt very young in terms of the romance aspect of their lives. Because of this, I didn't buy into the ending. The plot just felt very contrived. Sadly, I just don't think this author's work is for me; but if you're looking for books full of comedy and squicky wholesomeness that is more fairy-tale than real-life than her books might be perfect for you.

Perfect feel good sports romance
The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams is a fun, sweet, happy, closed-door sports romance. This book is the perfect feel-good, rom com! Additionally, the plot was refreshing because *spoiler* there was no third act breakup.Bree and Nathan are longtime best friends who are too afraid to communicate their feelings for one another. Tequila shots and a drunken confession later, Bree and Nathan end up fake dating each other. Sarah compiles a loveable cast of side characters that provide comedic relief and genuine moments, such as the professional footballer players' love advice turned strategy cheat sheet. The cast of characters and their backstories provide the right amount of tension coupled with excellent pacing. I truly adore this book and highly recommend it!

Prepare to swoon
It is no secret that I love all things cute and also every single thing I've ever read by @authorsarahadams so it really should come as no surprise that I loved The Cheat Sheet and wish could get my hands on a Nathan ASAP!What did I love about this book you ask? First, the P I N I N G, ooof the pining was so good friends and watching those idiots pine for each other made me wish I had a hot best friend of the male variety.Second, the banter. We all know (or maybe you don't) that I'm a woman of banter and when relationships have the right amount of it I just get suckered in. And these two had banter to spare while at the same time balancing that with a deep knowledge of each other that was just *chef’s kiss*Third, dimples. That is it, that is the tweet. Dimples. Love them.Fourth, Nathan is too sexy for his own good and has a self-sacrificial heart of love that knows how to restrain itself for love and I dig that. I want that! So, if you haven't grabbed a copy for yourself you should really get on that and then grab yourself every other book Sarah has put out because they're just that good.

Excellent From Start to Finish
This book was excellent. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that I loved everything about it. I especially appreciated the obvious affection and chemistry between Bree and Nathan, as well as the dynamics added by the supporting characters. There were no explicit scenes in this book, but I don’t think it suffered in any way for this. The love and connection between Bree and Nathan was still palpable.I’m glad that I had the day off because I really didn’t want to put this book down. It drew me in and did exactly what Sarah Adams claims to want from her writing: it left me feeling happier than I felt before I started reading it.I hope this is the beginning of a series because I would love to see Nathan’s teammates get coupled off. They were so sweet and endearing.
