Q: Can this be sunk into the garden?

Its made from stainless steel, all you will need to do is keep the insects etc out of the burner!

Q: Is there a minimum amount of fuel that needs to be used to get the burner to work? I have put in a third of a litre and it doesn't stay alight.

Although I don’t know if there is a minimum amount, 1/3 litre really isn’t enough - we fill up at least 1/2 litre at a time and usually more. If it’s the first time you’ve used it you will need a bit more too. Finally, it can take a while to ‘catch’ - keep the lit match next to the fuel for a few seconds to allow the fuel to catch properly.

Q: what does inner part measure where flames come out

20cm width by 5cm depth. The flame starts about 10cm high when first lit, raising to about 20cm in height when fully ‘going’. Its great, I put it in my old Victorian fireplace, placed some wood in front of it and once filled will last a good 5-6 hours, warms all my room up and is a real fire. I recommend buying fuel in bulk and it’s cheap to run.
