I purchased this as a fun way to do a gender reveal for my best friend’s little girl. She’s essentially my niece & formed such an attachment to my now 5.5 month old son that I wanted a fun way to include her in this second pregnancy. She loves soccer so this was perfect for us! First and foremost I love that this comes with pink and blue powder so if you’re trying to plan something before knowing, this has you covered. I also love that one side is pink and the other blue.( I saw many other soccer balls that were the standard black and white design. )The ball is delicate and breaks instantly upon kicking and a large cloud of pink or blue smoke powder appears. (If you do not want to be covered with pink or blue powder on your skin or clothes, do not be the kicker and stand about 20ft back.) Upon filling this and placing it on the ground for her to kick I was very gentle with it. When pouring your powder just be careful as it might get on your hands and transfer to the ball or clear stickers used to seal it shut which may ruin the surprise for anyone who doesn’t know(I had another girlfriend hold the ball as I filled it as I didn’t wanna risk dropping it or somehow messing it up) . I would not fill until right before you want to kick it, just to make sure powder doesn’t come out. (I had to travel 30 mins to her house so I didn’t pre-fill because I didn’t know how it would hold up in the car). I was very happy with this purchase & would definitely purchase again.

Bought this for a gender reveal over the weekend, it was a hit! It definitely made the "reveal". The only this that I would say is you really do not need the whole bag (either color) to put into the ball. When I say it made a cloud of dust boy did it with some left inside the ball. I would use 1/2 or 3/4. Overall, color was great visible to viewers online. Easy to clean off with soap and water.

The media could not be loaded. Before putting any powder in it, I opened and closed it and it worked fine. After my sister put the powder in it, it wouldn’t stay shut. 4 adults had to try and figure it out. Finally my brother placed it on the ground to be kicked. If it were to be picked up and kicked, it would have opened. Next time I’d get the one with the stickers on the side.
