Purchased as a requirement for my EMT-B. Have ended up carrying it with me in my go bag and it is often my go to over an automated BP Cuff as it is far more reliable and accurate. MDF makes quality gear at good prices, have run it for the past year and had no issues.

I rarely write a review but wanted to let people know this is a good accurate one. I bought another one that had good reviews on Amazon and multiple web sites for one of the best manual blood pressure monitors. It read about 10 points higher all the time compared to my Omron BP 785 automatic. It was hard to let the air out slowly with knob on bulb so needle drops 3 points per second to get the most accurate reading. It stopped working correctly after a week where the needle would jump about 30 points when pumping and readings were way too high. I’m glad it broke in a week because I found out it only had a 30 day warranty so they don’t stand behind their product.I searched for a long time to find an accurate one that was reliable. The MDF has a lot of positive reviews. It has a 3 year warranty and lifetime calibration warranty.I have been using it for over a month now. I compared it to my Omron BP 785 and it reads about 3 to 5 points higher. Sometimes only a 1 point difference. It is hard to do a direct comparison between the two because your pressure can change from 1 minute to the next. It takes about 2 to 3 minutes to switch from the manual to the Omron.The cuff is comfortable and bulb is of good quality. The gauge is made of heavy metal. It is easy to let air out slowly with knob on bulb. My only negative complaints are the cuff is not a D-ring so it is too hard to put cuff on to take your own blood pressure. Had to pay $15 extra to buy an adult cuff with D-ring. The gauge is small and hard to read the little lines. Have to wear my head magnifier to see the little lines better. The other ones also have small gauges including the one I sent back.This costs about twice of what I paid for the 1st one but worth the extra money. With a 3 year warranty they stand behind their product.

I used this to practice for my BP assessment in nursing school. It worked well. I passed my assessment first try

I bought this for continued PT at home. It has a longer tube than most and is well made.I use it to check for proper posture during workouts on my back. I slide it under the small of my back and set the pressure to where I keep the dial readings within a particular range.The dial is easy to read and reach .It comes in its own carry case that allows portable use.Inflation is great and easy to adjust with the bulb and knob .My back thanks it as do my new found core muscles.I did use this brand many years ago to check BP on individuals and I was quite pleased with the performance for its intended purpose. So no hesitation when I bought this one.

I'm actually using the MDF manometer that came with this with a D-ring cuff I have from a different BP rig. I didn't have confidence in the gauge that came with that one because it doesn't have a "0" mark on the scale and the zero calibration mark adjustment doesn't seem to align with what where I would expect. The MDF doesn't come with a D-ring cuff which makes it difficult to put on your own arm. It seems to be pretty accurate, is close to the readings I get with my OMRON Silver electronic BP monitor and the meter returns to "0" with the cuff deflated.

This is perfect for our daughter that starts nursing school, very high quality, looks professional!!
