Proper hammer drill
I love this hammer drill, I bought this because I had to take my previous version of this JCB hammer drill abroad which I've had for over 20 years and so needed one for here in the UK, I can remember having to drill a couple of holes in the train arches in Vauxhall when I first bought it for some disco lighting and it was solid concrete with stones and the drill just did it without problems and has always made concrete drilling so easy, cheaper ordinary hammer drills just cant do these types of jobs, this one I'll probably have another 20 years and more.

Not variable speed
Not as described, no variable speed switch, why JCB continue to advertise this as such, despite being aware of this is very concerning.

No 13mm chuck
Had to buy a 13mm chuck as none with purchase, advert misleading as it states that a 13mm chuck is included.

Decent tool but makes funny noise from dirt getting in the air flow
Good tool but has the same problem as all breakers. The dirt gets in the air flow spinnner. Why has this fault not yet been fixed. After use for a long period the machine makes a funny noise when turning off

Not as described# NOT VARIABLE SPEED - the place where the variable speed switch is located is blanked out.# Came only with a SDS Plus chuck and not a standard 13mm chuck although the description said both were included.I ordered the drill because it had variable speed. Have not used the drill so can't comment on whether it's fit for purpose but as it comes with a 3 year guarantee I would imagine it's ok.See images - Image 1 is from the instruction manual (ref to point 2), image 2 is the drill as received in the case (variable speed switch should be in the bottom right of the image) and image 3 is an expanded view of where the variable speed switch should be located.
