Base on the quality, I believe it will protect you on the parts it cover for sure. However, it could use a stronger velcro and it seems like this is the issue that many got for this.I’m 5’4” and I’m a bit on the bigger side so I bought an XL and every time I sat on my bike, the bottom piece of the vest gets pushed up and it pushes all the way to my neck making it difficult for me to move my head around with my helmet on. So, if you think you’re an XL, check the large first.For those who plan to wear this under their hoodie, YES you can. It is slim enough to wear undee your hoodie but be sure your hoodie fits somewhat loose on you. Can’t be wearing a tight fit hoodie and thinking you could wear this underneath that’s dumb.
