Powerful motor
I had another pencil style cordless driver but I need more power without grabbing a cordless drill (I work on setting up electric guitars). It's a 7.2 volt system with 2 batteries and charger and a cool automatic clutch shutoff feature. When the tool reaches the torque setting you have set (1 to 21) the tool will shut off, no typical clutch sounds. It's not a cheap tool but very well made!

THIS IS WHAT A PEN DRIVER SHOULD BE!
If you need a small compact pen driver with power to spare, this is the best choice. I have the Panasonic 3.6V pen driver and it has been my work horse for the last five years. Although expensive right now, it certainly is the best choice for driving those occasional stubborn screws. It has twice the torque of the previous generation and the electronic clutch works just as good as my other driver. It's built to last, very high quality just like the Panasonic. If you happen to look for reviews, I was not able to find any. There are no videos on YouTube or any website that I could find presently. On some websites that sell this they state that it has variable speed 0-200 and 0-650. THIS IS NOT VARIABLE SPEED! It has 2 fixed speeds. It's as small as my other driver, the led light is bright and on spot. I have also driven some 3 inch screws into a thick wooden block without any problems. This driver will surely make you smile with the size and power this thing has. Good work Makita!!!

My favorite tool! No negatives!
No big problems! Works well out of box! Though I have seem to broken the lock up mechanism (which prevents it folding to pistol configuration) it is still my favorite tool- I actually go looking for things to do with it! It does drill with a proper bit but it is no competition for a dedicated drill. This tool is a plus for any workshop! Will buy again if significant other lets me! It is a good buy! Bye!

Hands down the best small drill for all applications!
I use is around the house on every project! I race RC cars and this drill is best at working on buggies to take apart and put back together on timely manner. The quality is top notch, and the battery life is many hours of use. Recommended to all. Buying a cheaper one as I have made me want the best!! The Makita is the best!

Great Small Driver
This is my go-to driver for small tasks and has performed perfectly so far. The torque clutch stops rotation after one hit, which is much better than on my drills. I disassembled some furniture today and this saved an incredible amount of time and was much easier to use than a drill or impact driver. I then used it to pilot drill holes then drive 2 1/2" #9 screws to hang a birdhouse. It will also find use on electrical work and working on my bikes. The size makes it more convenient to carry than even the small impact drivers. The only negatives are that the price is high and I wish it had a battery level indicator like the LXT batteries do.

The best power driver made
This is the power driver you’ve been looking for. The driver is perfect for working circuit boards and other delicate equipment or devices. You simply turn the dial to set the exact amount of torque needed and done. The driver will automatically dead stop when the set amount of torque is reached. It’s fantastic. You don’t have to worry about cracking the circuit board, breaking delicate screw mounts or stripping screws. The driver also has plenty of power to tackle any job. I would buy this tool again but I don’t have because it’s a Makita. I would recommend this tool to anyone. Get it, you will not regret it.

Great for work on large electronic devices
I use this to remove/install screws on large electronic device cases and etc. This drill performs well at that and can even remove and install pesky nuts and bolts of small size. With the variable speed and torque setting I don't have to worry too much about over tighting or even stripping screws. Also the battery life is very impressive two batteries last me all week without recharge.

Good hand fit, great torque.
My use is around the house. Battery charges in less then an hour, holds charge for a good length of time. Clutch works great, I use the lower speed for more torque. Be careful when going from pistol grip to straight stick, you can pinch your hand (between thumb & index finger) at the pivot point. I recommend this product & buy it again.
