I purchased the 0.5 mm version. Love it.

We can't approve the use of Uni-ball Roller Pens on skin. Our pens are writing instruments and have been tested and developed for normal writing conditions. For a product to be used on the skin, it must be FDA approved. The Uni-ball Roller pens are not FDA approved.

Q: I am looking for a pen to use in a recipie book, will this pen hold up to water and oil spots?

this pen is my favorite and I use it for everything - I am not sure what you mean on the water and oil spots ? I own an insurance agency so I just for applications receipts notes check signing etc... hope this help

Yes, it will write on hand. It has a hard ballpoint tip. I'm not sure how long it would write, if there is a buildup of skin oil on the ballpoint tip. You might have to clean it off by writing on some paper or wiping with a paper towel or handkerchief. It does write on palm of my hand.
