Great quality!
These are a great price for the quality. I’ve had the same one bulb in for about 5 months now and it’s lasted and stood up well. It keeps a steady temperature. I recommend

Good heat lamp
Does what it’s supposed to do. Packaged good, arrived not broken, fit good in the light fixture, puts out great heat, make sure you use a basking light fixture or one that has the porcelain & aluminum cover because the fixture does get hot! It will melt a plastic outlet fixture! Also make sure nothing will touch the light fixture!

Be sure to use ceramic light base, they get hott.
Plesse under stand the 5 stares are for my particular 2 uses. For a 50 watt ceramic heater. Only over 2 months. A later review will be made for longevity.1. I’m using one “under a pairakeet cage. Sorry for the play on words, two keets that I’ve used a 40 watt light to keep warm. A geririged light placed on floor of cage. Now I have this heater placed facing up under there cage. It is on all of the time and it rests touching the bottom of there metal tray. They need additional heat during the day and additional heat at night. They are in the house but in an area that is cooler than the rest of the house. The temiture remains between 74 low to 75 high in their cage. The house is between 60 low at night to 70 during the day. The cage is covered with a plastic sheet at just the top open on sides during the day, and covered with a fitted cloth cover and a small lap quilt at nite. I’ve lost a cockatiel prior to hypothermia, too cold. I was not going to let that happen again. All of my birds are trained show birds (magician).2. Another 50 watt heater was placed outside in an aviary for 2 doves. While doves can withstand cold temperatures, they work only inside and temperature extremes are hard on them. So I placed a 50 watt heater in a small area (4’x6’) that has a plastic sheet hanging down to 4 feet off floor, where their nest and roost are located. There are other areas in avairsry they can perch, outside their enclosed, heated area. While the do go outside their “enclosure” to eat, and on occasionally to enjoy a sonny day, they tend to remain in their heated area. The temperature in their heated area tends to be 15 to 20 degrees above ambient.I hope this helps with understanding my use of these heaters, they are doing exactly as I wanted, the only question I have right now is longgevity. Again, I will review that after 1 year, but now it is 👍👍👍👍

Instead of incandescent bulbs
I use one of these in a clamp light, and place it at the bottom of a 4 shelf mini greenhouse. The greenhouse is either in the garage (where it's never less than 50 degrees) or on our protected 'catio' enclosed patio, where it is more susceptible to the outside temperature. They deliver a decent amount of heat for my purposes, and they're very stable. I was using incandescent bulbs, but this is a better option.

Works really well for the money in my sons Pac Man frog terrarium
Needed some heat in my sons Pac Man Frog terrarium but didnt want the bright light for night time when he is sleeping. I bought a metal housing, and a thermostat to turn it on and off when needed to keep it at the correct temperature and it works perfectly. It probably runs 24/7 (with some down time when the thermostat turns it on and off) and has been running perfectly for over a month.

great low wattage heat sources.
I use these in an insulated pain cabinet. It is in the unheated garage, so I put in a temperature controller and one of these heaters. During the coldest of winter, the temperature in the cabinet stays above 35 degrees. I could set it for any other temperate. I got two of these thinking that I might need 100 watts of heat, but one works fine.

Good for small terrariums or hatcheries-not a Coop
I needed something without light for our chicken coop and discovered these, with delight. According to advertisement, they mention "Chicken Coop", perhaps a Mini coop? They do put out heat, and are nice, priced right, and seemingly high quality; simply not for any coop of size.

Keeps pipes from freezing.
Our laundry room has three water pipes but no heat, so the winter cold is a concern. A power strip with those plug-in bulb sockets easily keep the room above freezing.
