Works like they should

These are very high quality hex bolts for furniture. They even come with an allen wrench. I would highly recommend these furniture hex bolts.

The screws/sockets are decent, and as advertised. Each purchase includes a single Allen key, where you actually need 2 to tighten/hold both sides. Not a big deal, except the included wrench is garbage quality and too small, so started rounding out with not significant torque.

These are well constructed. Threads were machined correctly for bolting bookshelves together. Made the project look like the MDF shelves were designed for them.

Easy to use, like the title says, these work great with Walmart bookshelves. I had purchased the longer size and they just wobbled and didn't hold the shelves together.Only complaint would be the quantity. It needs to be divisible by 4, that way you can lock top and bottom, front and back.

I build a multi-piece bookshelf from IKEA to look "built-in" for my daughter. These little gizmos help you lock each bookshelf together (side to side) to have less gaps in between. The other advantage is if you have slightly uneven floors, these bolts help keep the bookshelves even. We were trying to avoid adding trim pieces and having to paint them, etc. I attached all the bookcases to the wall using a cleat as well (for safety with little ones in the home). All we had to do is drill through both using a drill bit just big enough to fit the widest piece of the two and then hand tighten. I decide to place them in several places in the front shelf holes that were not going to be used. I found that 3-4 per shelves that sat side by side did the trick. I would definitely use these again.
