Excellent Pull Up Bar, Excellent Customer Service
I'm the kind of person that prefers a neutral grip for my pull ups, so that naturally limits my options a lot when it comes to purchasing a pull up bar. I noticed XMARK had a pull up bar with a variety of grip options and I had a good experience with their "chisel" EZ curl bar. I decided to give this one a shot.First off -- the actual experience of using it when properly installed: It's great. It's exactly what you'd want from a pull up bar. It's sturdy, no wobbling or shaking. The knurling is pretty good --it's not aggressive enough to start tearing up calluses, but it improves grip and feel. This is especially noticeable when you compare it to one of those bars that would attach to a door frame. Those pull up bars would have this crappy padding on it that just breaks down over time. The feel in the hand was awful, and the bars would shake if you pulled up too quickly. And the door frame just kinda broke down over time.I'm a pretty light guy -- 145 lbs before breakfast, but I do weighted pull ups with an extra 100 lbs tied to my waist. So I can say with confidence that this pull up bar will handle more than 245 lbs and still feel rock solid and secure.Installation: I actually had some trouble installing it, but that's because for some reason my house had plywood behind the walls which interfered with my stud detectors. Wasn't really the fault of the bar. It's not really that hard to install, you basically need a ratchet, allen wrench set, and a drill. Drill your holes in with a 1/4th inch bit, attach the brackets with the provided screws and a ratchet, then put the bar on top and use a ratchet/allen wrench to attach the top.Now I normally don't leave reviews, but this time I felt like I should because I received some great customer service from Xmark. Basically FedEx is garbage in the SF bay area, and they misplaced my pull up bar. No messages, no indication of where it went. I messaged Xmark, they found it and sent it my way. Hassle free. Good stuff Xmark.

Strong and looks great
Purchased this for my office to give me a chance to do some pull-ups throughout the day or to at least hang from to help stretch out my back and shoulders during the work day. If your studs are properly spaced 48" apart this will be a super easy install. Unfortunately mine were not so I built a backboard out of 2x6s that were lagged to the wall studs. The bar itself is very study and is designed with quality esthetics vs some cheap bars. Grip options are great and the serrations in the grip areas are perfect, not too rough and not super slick. The texture is great for maintaining a great hold on the bar without hurting your hands. Highly recommend

Epic Grip, Easy Install, and sturdy as well.
Easy install; hardest part was screwing in the two arms, it helps to have someone hold an arm while another gets the first one or two screws in. I haven't tried abusing it, but it seems built well; I haven't noticed any sharp edges or shoddy paint. The knurling on the bars is fantastic, and the spacing between each seems appropriate. I weigh around 160lbs, I hung from the bar with a buddy of similar weight, and the bar did not budge; it may have flexed a little bit but neither of us could perceive it. All around great bar, definitely worth the money.

Perfect Fit
I was looking at this pullup bar and the Titan Fitness pullups bar. The reviews on the Titan say that it is not spaced properly to line up with standard stud spacing. I was then calculating if it was worth the extra $50 to go with this XMark to avoid the headache of mounting it to 2x4s/plywood then mounting that to studs, as well as a trip to the hardware store (in reality multiple trips.) Also, saved a bit of time. This was the deciding factor - that it is spaced properly to line up with 16" studs!! This beast weights 50+ lbs and is very sturdy. I have not missed a day since I started using it. I plan on hanging a heavy bag on it and some other peripherals in the future and it will hold up. There is ample space between the wall and the bar in which you grab for doing pullups; I do not kip but there should be room for some kipping. Lots of grips available.Just an fyi, this does not come with the allen key that is necessary for installation. I am still very happy that I chose this product.

So far, so good.
Using this for almost a year now.-Easy enough to install (especially with two people). The width is measured very well for standard stud widths, so I just drilled small pilot holes and then bolted it in. I'm 220lbs, and it holds up well to even explosive impulse pulls.-Lots of grip versatility. Almost any grip configuration you could imagine.-Grip texture is great without immediately tearing up my hands.-It's just solid. It's heavy and feels strong.

Heavy Duty Pull-up Bar!
I've used temporary in-doorway placed pull up bars that were flimsy and required me to keep the door open to use. As I have a garage I decided to permanently mount a pull up bar. I was looking for an industrial strength pull up bar to meet this need and found the right one in the XM-9025. This product is solid welded and comes in three pieces: the two side supports and the full featured pull up bar (multi-grips) that bolts to the two side supports. I didn't care that my garage wall studs didn't align as I used two back-to-back x 3/4" plywood sheet segments installed directly (with lag bolts) to three of my garage wall studs and then I mounted the pull up bar to the dual layered plywood. The XM-9025 side supports attach to the wall via four lag bolts per side support. This is one excellent, well-made, heavy-duty product that will easily last for the life of my house.

Worth the extra couple of bucks
This has the 'gym style' feel to it. Very strong and well made. I found the grips to be a little rough, but not as bad as other reviews indicated. If you have a stud finder, the installation shouldn't be a problem. However, you may want to disregard the lag bolts they provide and make a trip to Lowes/Home Depot to get stronger/longer ones. I was able to install by myself, but would be a lot easier with a second person.
