Yes they are rough, made my wrist sore from rubbing it till it was red. Very sore. The part that is folded and sewn by where it attaches to the decice. That rough edge.

Q: Will these bands fit small womens ankle?

They should, I can fit it over my fist and that's about 4" by 2.5".

Q: Do these bands make your wrists smell with exercise?

I don't think anyone can answer that for you, these don't make my wrists swell but no bands do. I think it depends on your fluid retention individually. They are elastic but it's not like a rubber band that is constricting your wrist, you use the slide to adjust for your size. Hope that helps.

Q: Are they easy to clean after getting them sweaty?

Yes, I put them in a mesh bag I use for washing bras and wash at 30C or 40C. Very rarely, but if one gets properly sweaty or dirty.
