I love mine! The olive wood adds and old-world charm to my kitchen. I keep it out for looks and ease of use!

I absolutely love things made from olive wood. It's very hard and has wonderful grain patterns. These utilitarian pieces are made from 2-300-year-old trees from the Mediterranean. Keep them oiled and they'll last a lifetime. Their imperfections add to theiir beauty, in my opinion. This is a terrific bargain and I'll be buying more for gifts.

Could be finished smoother and the lid only fits in one way (and even that is tight). That said, it's definitely real olive wood, and looks very nice. At some point I might sand it all smoother and put a finish on it, but for now a little mineral oil made it pop a bit more. Good for the price, for sure.

Bizarre, this beautiful wood container for salt split open on the side after a few months. I have two others over 5 years old and they remain fine.

I ordered one of these salt boxes several months ago. It came in and the colors were not the same as the image. There was not very much variation in the grain. It did not bother me or affect the use. Later I decided I wanted another to hold a special blend of spices. This one came in looking more like the photo. The wood grains really popped. It looked more like the photo. At first, I wished the first one came in looking more like this. Again, it did not affect the use. Now after a while, I like the difference. I can easily tell which has the salt and which has the blend.Overall, happy with the product.
