Clever idea! I recommend it and glad i got it but it is important to know you are getting what you pay for. It is not the heating unit i used that had a broad heavy tip. That worked better and faster. However if you are looking for price break or don't do much rctx work then this is okay.This is like an electro surgery that disposable electro surgery handpiece I use to cut gum tissue. In fact it is the same thing only better built. Never thought of using the disposable electro surgery instrument as gutta percha cutter. What a great idea. In fact in a pinch i can use it to cut gum tissue.It gets the job done and glad i bought it and recommend it for it is handy and priced right. I would suggest if however possible that the filament thatcreates the heat was made thicker then the cutting off gutta percha would be easier and faster... Then again I could have bought that particular device instead of this one for a few hundred more.
