Rough packaging and damaged contents
Stone looks in good shape, one of the wooden stand pieces came delivered cracked in half. Shipping foam was all chewed up and broken as well like it had a rough packing and shipping treatment.

woodwork is poorly made, stone is good
I like the stone, though the woodwork, both stand and handle, were poorly made. My husband had to remake the handle (it did not fit the stone and fell out) and will eventually remake the stand (it is not stable for the weight of the stone). I expected better craftmanship for the price asked.

Cheaply made handle breaks right off
The handle was not seated well and had coarse wood shavings on the end. When I pulled it, the handle came right out. Very cheaply/poorly made, as is the stand which does not support the weight, moves around a lot and will easily break.The stone is nice, it is heavy enough to grind without too much trouble. Too bad the cheap woodwork makes it unusable. I'll probably build a stand and handle for it.
