Tough well made
It's a G- Shock, that pretty much is a statement alone. These watches just take everything & keep working. Totally dependable as always. I'm a bit of a watch freak & currently own 8 G-Shocks with this one. All my others are black/Grey & one Coyote. This was bought for me by my daughter & I wouldn't have chosen the grey but it's now my favourite. Couple of weeks & several people have asked about it. The colour attracts the eye I've realised. It goes well with my black uniform & stands out. Love the negative display because I've already got two negative display but none stand out like this one does. I work in a dark control room & can still very easily see the negative display. Perfect timekeeping as always & the Bluetooth connection is an excellent gizmo. Connected to my android phone instantly & will show different functions like steps but I'm not that interested in that. I like watches I can just leave & they function. Can't stand so called smart watches because to me having to charge a watch every few days is simply a dumb watche.I'll stick with my G-Shocks for my job & outdoors anyday. I suppose you could wear this for casual wear I guess & it would look good. Oh one other point is the size. This model isn't the great big fat chunky types like the frogman series but a very reasonable depth & perfect face size. Not rediculous looking. Very tame really for G-Shock & at only 5'9 tall & average build it looks perfectly sized. I'll admit some of my others look silly,... like Rambo watches but this doesn't look military. So something I would never have purchased, as become my favourite. Also the strap feels more bendy or rubberised than my others & not so plastic & there are multiple slots, very close together, so you will get the perfect adjustment. There is an instruction manual but to be honest, you don't really need them. It's pretty simple to set up. In fact if you Bluetooth connect, it can auto set for you. Updates off your phone.Ok, so I've written this on my phone, so excuse the grammar as also eating.. Yeah I know :-)

Brilliant Watch
I'm a bit of a watch geek but never had a GShock .Wanted something for the gym , hiking and camping and this is perfect. Got a bit fed up with smart watches and the constant need to recharge them .I think it looks pretty nice and a great colour but it's quite chunky so not good if you got the small hands and wrists , other than that perfect.

Not ridiculously huge, easy to read (big) display & easy to press buttons
I have wanted a G-shock for a while, but I was put off by how unnecessarily big & shouty most of them are. My left wrist it a petite 7.25" in circumference & most G-shocks would look too big on the wrist of a grizzly bear! Also, for such enormous watches they have tiny displays, making them pretty useless at their primary function (i.e. telling the time) for those of use who wear reading glasses. Though I have not experienced this myself, I have also read anecdotal reports that certain G-shock models have very hard to press buttons.I am happy to report that this G-shock has none of the three common issues I mentioned in the paragraph above. However, this watch nearly slipped under my radar, as just about every online photo this model, in all its various colours, depicts it using one of the three display modes that shows the time in a relatively small format, with either weekly, or monthly activity graphs (pretty useless), or a dual time view. The fourth of the display modes shows just the time in a large format, which I can read easily without my specs (refer to photo).I do use the Bluetooth functionality on this watch, but not to receive email / phone call alerts, as I have not yet become too lazy to get my phone out of my pocket when I receive one of these alerts & the size of the watch screen makes these alerts pretty impractical, even for people who don't need reading glasses. I use the Bluetooth connection to record my hikes, so I can get a nice Google map when I have finished, showing my route. A single button press initiates the route recording, which is very useful. The step / distance recorder on the watch is also pretty accurate, as far as I can tell.I also use the watch for my HIIT sessions on a static bike, to let me know when to sprint & when to pedal at normal pace. It works pretty well for this, but it is not possible to add my 3 minute warm up & 3 minute warm down to my session. It doesn't bother me at all, but for an "activity" watch, I do find it quite bizarre that the stopwatch only records to whole seconds, i.e. no tenths, or hundredths of seconds! Finally, the watch is very comfortable to wear & it is easy for me to forget that I am wearing it, particularly as a lot of my other watches are quite heavy steel, or bronze divers watches. The adjustment holes in the strap are quite closely spaced, enabling the wearer to get a perfect fit. There are also some inserts (black on this beige colourway) between the watch case & strap that angle the strap around the natural curve of my wrist, which add to the comfort factor.

Casio G-Shock (GBD 200 UU 9ER)
My second GBD200. I wanted another because the first one I bought was so good. I don't use the fitness app as I only require a watch that tells the time and is rugged and legible. MIP display is so much better than standard LCD displays. Yes it's plastic, it's a Casio and as such it's a no nonsense, rugged watch that does what it's supposed and more.

G Shockingly Good
I have owned approximately 5 G Shock watches and this is by far the best. The screen is amazing, very clear, and easy to read. One of the best straps on a G Shock I've owned. The step tracker appears to be fairly accurate, and there are loads of fitness functions.A really good G Shock, however the app could be a little better.
