After buying gaskets and trying to fix the old one, I found a while replacement worth my time and money spent: works perfectly and the price was right

Looked just like the Kohler original diverter that I finally bought but when installed leaked from the top even worse than the old one I was replacing. If I was to hazard a guess the O-rings looked like a different size but I didn't have the time to play with it and needed it fixed ASAP.

The valve leaks and splatters on the tub surround. This is what it looked like when I removed the valve after only being installed for a week. YUCK!The original is brass. I don’t know what this is made of. Spend the $200 and order an original from Kohler.

This thing started failing about 4 months after install. Removed and replaced the o-rings but went bad again rapidly. I guess this is one of those situations where buying aftermarket to save money is not smart.
