I was fully prepared not to like this, as i dont generally eat pork (I got it with another rice meal can), but to my surprise it was actually delicious. I use it as a quick burrito filling and nacho topping.

I can't tell you how it tastes or how fast it really takes to make it. I bought it to put away for if it's needed. Exactly what it was originally made for.If my family & I need it in the future, we'll have it.I think of it as another form of necessary insurance I hope we'll never really need. Just like auto insurance you hope you never have to use. But it's there just in case we need it & if we do need it, we'll be happy that we have it!

These dried foods seem to focus on protein but you also need fat to feed your body. This makes for great prepper option. Has resealable top which with the addition of an extra oxygen absorber keeps food dry after can is open.

What can you expect from a freeze dried food. Not the same as the real thing, but palatable.

I love having long lasting food storage on hand (25 year shelf life)!. After procrastinating a trip to the grocery store I thought I would open this and give it a try. It is really tasty and oh so easy. It was delicious just on it's own but I am already dreaming of some new possibilities. Tomorrow I try it in a tortilla shell with cheese and sour cream as a killer burrito.
