Q: What fuel do you recommend?

Wood is the best fuel for this pizza oven. Small amounts often allows good control of heat and stops the pizza bases burning. Easy to clean out wood ash too using the rear door.

Q: Bought this and pizzas burnt - should the fire be pushed to the back ? Anyone know what temperature the fire or pizza stone should be ?

We found it did the same so we assumed it was still to hot on the stone to cook on. We let the flames die down a little before putting pizza in, then when the pizza seems to be cooking we lifted pizza to top shelf to finish off, hope this helps. We also used kindling sticks with what I think looks like hay balls that you light and this seemed to work much better
