I bought this one (November 2024) as a Low-profile VISUAL Theft-Deterrent, as my vehicle has an Immobilizer and Alarm built in. So far I am 100% pleased with its overall performance:It's smaller & NICER LOOKING than the "Club" and takes only seconds to install. Yet, it's still visible enough to DETER Car thefts. It's easy to store; the lock seems solid and smooth. I especially like that you don't have to use the key to lock it, after installing it onto the Steering wheel - it locks automatically!Based on other negative reviews about the built-in alarm and "stuck key" issues, I was aware and prepared: I immediately oiled the lock with some Teflon lubricant (see link below) and did NOT bother using the alarm feature -- it simply was not important to me.So far, the lock mechanism is still solid and SMOOTH AS SILK. Well built, easy to use and provides extra level of anti-theft protection for my car.

In December some thieves almost made off with my daughters 2017 Kia luckily for us something must’ve scared them off. So I searched online and found this gem. Well, someone came back the other night and smashed the window but because the key did not unlock this device, the alarm started to sound and they left unfortunately $100 deductible later for glass but at least we still have the car. If you’re looking for something, this is perfect, with a key coming to fit the lock No, to the same as we have two of these, we now feel secure that they will not be able to steal my daughters car or my truck. Just a reminder, don’t try to drive away with it closed as it too, will sound off, even though you have taken it off of the steering wheel. I highly recommend this product for any car that does not have the push button start that thieves are breaking into to take your vehicle.

Pros: robust sturdy and hugeCons: The battery cover should also be made of some sort of alloy vs plastic, need to be careful about the tiny screws and should use larger screws-be careful not to lose the screws or the screwdriver ..The sparse instructions are not the greatest ..let's face it; There is no guarantee against car theft .. this anti-theft device on the steering wheel will only do so much when it can also be circumvented by car thieves simply by hacking away at the steering wheel and not the lock itself .. BUT hopefully it will buy you a little time for the owner to realize there is something wrong and would either call the police or take care of it themselves (I don't need to spell that out ..).. so in a nutshell the only thing you need to remember is to turn your steering wheel all the way to either side but probably not brute forcing it to the extreme otherwise you would ruin your power steering pump .. assuming the steering lock is open You don't need to put the key inside and just clamp it to the steering wheel to the top facing the window with the handle .. in terms of batteries it is a triple AAA (For those wondering what a #7 battery is) .. ultimally I would probably change it more frequently if weather is either too hot or too cold -3 to 5 months due to draining in inclement weather .... I'm sure you can also use this as a battering ram on a window .. or self-defense!recommended👍👌👊

I bought this product due to the rise in crime in my neighborhood. I was hoping that the alarm will scare off any bad people. The alarm doesn’t sound very loud and it’s super short. It went off in my car while I was driving all it did was buzz. I bought 2 but neither of them worked.Not worth spending the money on.

Using for my 97 HONDA CRV Also with a regular steering lock on and a Brake pedal Lock with a hidden Killswitch :)All these locks are on so they won’t damage steering wheel trying to cut around it The alarm is loud and will scare thief’s off I highly recommend it and watch a video how to use get a better understanding if you write a bad review your not installing it correctly I’m assuming ;)

Overall a good steering wheel lock. It is easy to install when leaving the vehicle. Easier than others I have used. It is padded well so your steering wheel is not scratched or the dash. When put in the locked position it will beep. It will fully arm in 15 seconds allow you to exit the vehicle and lock it. I wanted to test the lock while on the steering wheel. I moved it back and forth. The alarm went off in 15 seconds. It is quite loud to be honest. Certainly will send the intruder on his/her way. It is a good looking lock but I would prefer it bright yellow so would be thieves see it easier and decide to move on.

I truly believe that without this lock, the situation could have turned out much worse.While I did incur about $4,500 in damages to the car, I’m grateful that the lock prevented a complete theft. I’ve already ordered a replacement for the damaged lock because I want to ensure my car remains protected.If you’re looking for a robust additional layer of security for your vehicle, I highly recommend the Tevlaphee Steering Wheel Lock with Alarm. It may not be foolproof, but it certainly does its job well and offers peace of mind.
