Fuel Syphon Transfer Pump, 2m Hand Siphon Fuel Pump with 8mm Fuel Line Hose for Car Gasoline/Fuel/Petrol/Gas/Liquid/Water Hand Transfer Pump

This is a very useful syphon for when you need to empty a recepticle without getting a mouthful of foul-tasting liquid to get the syphon process going. I've used it to remove the remnants of water that remain in a toilet cistern before doing repair work and it has been excellent. I haven't used it to syphon fuel from a vehicle's petrol tank and have read that the hose is too short for this, but for other jobs it works very well. Just make sure you check the rubber pump for the direction of flow and the syphon starts with one or two compressions of the pump.

Apart from being delivered quickly, this item is a total sham. It was bought to be used to remove stagnant water from a disused shower drain, however it failed so pathetically that it had to be binned.When it arrived, it had been packaged so tightly that sections of each end of the clear inlet and outlet tubing had to be cut, as they had permanent kinks in them.After inserting the inlet tube into the drain, the pump failed to even partially reinflate after squeezing. I spent about 15mins trying to battle with this hand pump and managed to only pump a thimbleful of liquid through the device. Thinking that I was at fault I checked the device's direction, pipe connections, and valve seals, ensuring the inlet was below the waterline - but this lead nowhere. Still it failed to move any amount liquid. I also tried replacing the long inlet tube with a shorter one, and removing the outlet tube completely, but this also didn't improve matters.The worst thing is that this is not the first one I've bought and that it's taken me wasting my money twice to learn my lesson.

Would probably work on old cars but newer models, my car is a 2010 renault megane, have an inbuilt device to stop it from being stolen from outside. only way to use it is from inside (look on youtube for how) , I think most people wouldn't bother.

It's ok but I couldn't actually use it. Maybe some instructions would be useful

All was good from the seller, on time and as described, but the delivery driver left it in a very obvious and very large/deep puddle at my door. So 5 stars and all praise to the seller. The delivery driver however made no attempt to knock or let me know they were there so gets a negative and could have damaged my product had I not been checking my door. Driver should take more care

Used when changing rear differential oil. Unfortunately the tubing arrived kinked at numerous places. When using the product, this made it extremely difficult to pump the oil through as the more you pumped, the tighter the kinks became. Therefore restricting the flow. In the end I had to use some grips to keep opening the kinks up, pump some more, use grips again, pump some more etc etc. It made a 2 minute job a 30 minute job. Did what it intended to do, however made hard work of it

Used to drain the toilet cistern don’t know what it would be like for a lot of water but was fine for this job
