Just learn how to use it
I found the instructions a little poor but with trial and error experience it is just about finding the 'off' status and then counting switch pushes from there, though I then test to make sure I have arrived at the correct mode. I am only using the flasher modes, just to warn car drivers not to reverse into my carport and cause damage. The sensing range is greater than I need, they say about 8m, but I guess I can reposition the device with experience. So so far a promising piece of kit. After charging of course I have not yet tested longevity.

It is a substantial size and plastic but it seems to be weatherproof. We'll so far. It charges up with decent strength of sunlight. If that is not available then easy enough to top up. Boy, doesn't make a noise. It has certainly put the wind up the local vandals who trashed my garden. It blasts out a din for 35 seconds and the whole neighborhood knows about it. The flashing red light is very visible to.It is quite sensitive. Mine have fallen to the ground and survived. Yes, I have 3!My only gripe is that working which out which mode you are in is pretty much impossible. You cant tell how much power remains either.As far as I can see either the siren is primed ready or it isn't. Anyway for the price I think its a winner.

Simple but effective.
OK the siren may not be the most screamingly frightening, but it does work and would be enough to put off the opportunist thief or intruder.

I never had a remote control so couldn’t comment on that. I just switched on at back

Not waterproof at all and stopped working after rain
Built for outdoor use yet let's water in during rain, rendering the item useless when the electrics get wet and stops working after a week of use.Total waste of money.

Has been working for few months
I put this in my garden as a deterrent for foxes, the pir alarm/siren is loud like a car alarm, but can get over sensitive and annoy neighbours, mine is set to flashing light only now. Might try the siren again with a bit of tape to reduce sensitivity. But the product and price are right.
