Such a good deal I feel like a theif!
This is my 5th order from Altman and I am addicted to their services and plants! This time I got the 20 succulent bundle so I could share half with my nephew. I waited all day on the couch ringing my hands…as many of the plant lovers I know can relate…finally the UPS guy triggered the ring doorbell and I ran to grab the box off the stoop. Then, dragging out the anticipation I made a cup of espresso and got the scissors. I opened the box and rejoiced! These succulents did not disappoint! Altman never has! I unpacked them and video taped them getting a rain shower for my nephew (a horticulturist at Bayer) he’s coming over Sunday to get his half. And now you know why I am the best Aunt in the plant world! Thank you so much once again!

If you love succulents you will love this product!
Absolutely great value and variety. Very happy with my purchase. I bought (2) 20-packs for Baby Shower gifts. I wanted something that people wouldn't throw away as soon as they got home. They were boxed really well with short pieces of brown paper that were folded zig-zag, like old fashion crinkle fries. I had to use my jewelry pliars to remove the 1st few from the box - because as you can see there was no space between to grab with your fingers. The potting soil is a real fine texture so all of the leaves had a light powdering of soil on their leaves. I first tried using a Q-tip to brush off the soil but found out fairly quickly that just blowing them worked better. Like when you blow out birthday candles on a cake - but a little bit harder. But close your eyes because the soil is so 'powder like' it will blow back in your face & eyes. After I got all the leaves clean I tamped down the soil as best I could. Then I put them in an old metal baking pan to water them. I filled them up to the top of the plastic container twice, then let them sit in pan a few minutes to soak up water from the bottom of the pots. Afterwards I lined a cardboard tray with plastic wrap, then 3 layers of paper towels and transferred them from the baking pan to the cardboard trays. After about half an hour I changed out the paper towels because they were wet. Instructions say to wait until they are completely dry before watering so will not be watering again before I give them away. I bought cardboard gift boxes specially designed for 2" pots (Succulent Wraps by Nithicon). They are sort of like doing origami. Note - corners fold OUT, not IN. The guest list is 30 so happy to say there will be "left over" plants : )

Adorable. Totally healthy. Good variety. Colorful.
They're all so cute. Only 1 had a label to say that the web was normal on that plant. I'll have to look them all up with Google Lens or a plant app. I got 20 plants and 2 of each kind, so I got 10 different kinds of succulents. All of the plants were healthy and look great. The plants had a few bits of perlite and dirt on them from some jostling during shipping, but I used a water color brush to brush them off of the leaves.I think I've put in about 8-10 orders with Altman this winter, but these are the first succulents that I've gotten from them. So far, all of my plants from them arrived in perfect condition. I think it's because I never let the box sit outside in the freezing weather. It was barely 40°, today. I take the box directly from the UPS delivery driver's hands or as they get back inside their truck.I took a picture of the 10 different kinds that I got.I ordered a new box. I think all of them are different from the first box except for maybe one or two of them. I do wish they came with labels. One pair in each box did come with a label, but I have to research the rest of them. They dont even have to send tags. They could add a picture to the description of all the kinds that they sell with a name under each picture. Plant apps don't always show the right names when I look up my plants.I just got my 3rd box of 20. The plants were perfect as usual, but they got jumbled around this time and had soil everywhere. If I didn't have any fuzzy succulents in the box, it wouldn't have been too bad. I had 6 fuzzy ones in this box, and I have to brush out all of the soil and gravel. I'm still happy with the plants. This is my first order from Altman that was handled a little roughly. That's pretty good for probably nearly a dozen orders of their plants.

Lovely little plants
We just received our order and I'm very happy! The plants were packaged very well with brown paper and also brown paper crinkle strips holding them in place. There was no dirt falling all over in the box or anything. I just tried taking one of them out of the box and it appears that they are traveling with a bit of compacted dirt around the root balls. Beautiful plants! The colors are great! They all appear to be very well taken care of, sturdy, little plants. I am very happy with them. Of course one could always want more variety in a variety pack but I think what they have sent me will look stunning around the main plant that I have that will be put in the middle of the pot. The plants were also received in a very timely manner. I will gently plant them tomorrow and if there is any change in the plants I will update my review. For right now I think they are beautiful plants and I'm so glad I chose Altman as the seller!

Trustworthy seller, overall good product choice.
Well packaged for shipping. Plants were a bit smaller than I had anticipated but there was a good variety mix and many colors / styles selected by the grower were shipped. Very nice selection for beginners like me. Mostly look healthy and well loved. Out of 20 in the box 3 of the most delicate / smallest plants were in rough shape so we will see if I can nurse them back to health with a little TLC. Overall pleased with the purchase.
