Fast dock with plenty different options
It has plenty of speed and runs cool. The RJ45 speed is pretty good. Wish it had a couple display ports. Wish it had a small SD card reader but I can use the SD card adapter so it's nor really too big a deal. Another Thunderbolt port on the front would be nice.

A decent companion to the Surface Pro 8
I bought this reluctantly with my Surface Pro 8, primarily as I wanted a full power charge connection without using the ridiculous magnetic Surface Pro Connector. I have been using these for years, and they consistently fall out at the lightest pull. Which is ok for a charger, but for a Surface Dock it means your hard drive disconnects during a lengthy copy process - oh NO!!And with my Surface Pro Dock 2 the power connector would get so hot that it could hurt to remove it. Anyways.....This docking station, has a solid and reliable Thunderbold 4 connection, and it works perfectly. The actual Docking Station gets pretty hot, and the power adaptor buzzes so loudly you have to put it on the floor, but otherwise, everything seems to work ok with it.Meh. It's heavy and sharp edges, and obviously the standard product, labelled with a different name to jump on the Microsoft marketing bandwagon, but it works. So that's ok.

Great TB4 Docking Station. Works with 2021 MacBook M1 Pro 14".
I was between OWC and Kingston with exactly the same ports and layout (probably using the same board layout) with similar PD Wattage values and decided to go with Kingston after finding a pretty much open box Amazon Warehouse deal at a great price. I have decent hearing with a great frequency range so a high pitch noise generated by the transistors inside the power adapter which also travels up to the dock and pretty much echoes same vibration inside was driving me crazy. It is more noticeable when your device and/or monitor is on sleep due to power adjustments triggered by the internal board of the dock. At first it was very annoying, then I learned to live with it and found my power cycle options that helped when I am not using my laptop. My 4K LG monitor will look for signals every 5 - 10 minutes when connected to dock. So to prevent that high pitch buzz (I am pretty sure most people will not hear it) and to keep my monitor in full sleep mode and also to cut any power delivery attempt to my MacBook overnight (kept at 80% max via AlDente), now I turn off my main surge protector outlet when i am done working at night (after placing my MacBook on sleep) which turns off the dock, monitor and speakers instead of using the power button on the dock. No high pitch noise, no signal lookups on my monitor, just deep sleep for everyone. Viola.
