Good reviews, but...
This vacuum gets good reviews on consumer reporting website, but I came here to drag it because I've been vacuuming for nearly 40 years and I find big problems with this vacuum.First the cord is too short. Way too short. This company has been making vacuums longer than I've been alive, why is the cord so short?Second why did we get rid of headlights on vacuums, again I've been vacuuming for 40 years why do I got to turn a light on in every room that I go in every walk in closet that I go in to make sure there's nothing on the floor what can I just vacuum and go?Third why did we get rid of the mechanism to drop the vacuum from upright? This vacuum has a manual push to kick it out from upright. Feels very cheap to get rid of a little latch to kick it out of upright. So they got rid of headlights got rid of length on the cord got rid of a little latch, just to save $1 in parts on every vacuum so they could save $100,000 for the CEO to put in his pocket? Make sure you are doing your research on vacuums you can't just trust a brand anymore apparently...Also this vacuum advertises that you can take the canister off and carry it around the house and vacuum.... Who is the genius that didn't include a backpack attachment? Someone who didn't work in the hospitality hotel industry? Didn't consult any other vacuum styles? Again this feels like a third party licensed the brand name.. such a shame..It's like we got to do a thesis to buy a product nowadays to get something good... I thought I was doing the right thing by checking out a consumer reporting website first... I'm going over there to write them a letter now...Someone edited my review to give it four stars??? nooo... this is a three star vacuum.

Truth in advertising.
Dear Amazon:As far back as I can remember I have always turned to Kenmore for my appliances. Isn’t it funny though that I spent over two hundred dollars plus shipping to find out after I received and used my Kenmore bag-less product that there was a thing such as a “dust plumb” , and yes the dust was in my face with the first use as I emptied the canister. Whereas, in all of the previous reviews, and advertisings, that there was not one word of this problem. However, here and now, I discover there is such great advertising and yes it is in your face about how OTHER or “bag less vacuums” have the dreaded dust plumb problem. I discovered this by looking at the Kenmore Intuition BU4022 Bagged Upright Vacuum. This information was not there before. And, I always do my homework and this info was NOT there.I have never felt so betrayed in my life. I of course cannot return the machine because I have used it. And if I do not want dirt thrown in my face every time I empty the machine I feel I must purchase another so I can keep my house clean. Cleaning house is already a thankless job and I do not need insult on top of injury and the thought of taking this machine out to vacuum with just paralyses me.

From old school to new cool
We had an old Hoover self propelled unit that was no longer self propelled, it had all the attributes of a German Panzer with broken tracks. So finally I made the purchase of a modern engineered vaccume cleaner with 2 motors that made me wonder why I was too cheap and waited so long. One motor for suction and one for the bristle brush should be an industry standard since two small motors get the job done on carpet very well. This light weight machine pulls you along with the brush beating dirt into submission and the motor for suction is also exceptional at the one job it is entrusted to do. Add in ease of use and a clean dump of the picked up contents and I would happily purchase this again if need be..... I wouldn't hesitate and neither should you right now if you have been waiting for some kind of divine inspiration like I was.

Powerful little vacuum.
Pros : This is a very powerful little vacuum, good on dog hair too. Easy to move around. The wand is very easy to take out and use.Cons: The power cord is short, it should have at least another 10' to it. I have to replug in in every room I move too. Also, the collection container is small too and a little difficult to get all the dirt out.Overall, I bought this due to Consumer Reports giving it a top rating. For the price, it's great and does the job.

It lasted for 16 months
I purchased this vacuum in June 2021. It's now November 8, 2022 and I'm researching vacuums again. The bottom metal pieces that keep the vacuum base in a "locked" position broke about a month ago but it was still useable. You had to move the vacuum from room to room as if you are vacuuming instead of it being in the upright position. Not a huge deal. However, this weekend, the piece that holds the wand in place broke. If you want to vacuum, you have to hold the wand in place with one hand and move the vacuum with the other hand.I agree with another user that the cord is too short and I miss the headlight feature while vacuuming. My biggest disappointment is this thing is going in the landfill after only 16 months of use. Growing up, we had the same vacuum for years!
