A Sturdy & Versatile Bag That Laughs At Danger
got this bag the other day, and went on two walks with it so far. absolutely love it, lots of pockets, lots of straps and attachment points, and the molle grid was great to put my first aid kit on. also the zipper pulls feel really great, they feel almost "springy" and quick, probably due to the pull being every so slightly elastic, really nice quality. it's also really sturdy, and feels like i could throw it off a building every day and it won't get damaged. there's also a small pocket with a zipper on the corner only that goes right behind your back, right where the straps are, that is designed to fit an armor plate to protect from gunshots, or to put in a hydration bladder, and it has holes for a drinking straw to come out as well (which i'll be using it for that personally). the double stitching also feels sturdy, and the waterproof lining feels really nice. also the flag patch is indeed removable, i personally replaced it with one from Pull Patch on amazon that was black and rainbow stripes (for LGBTQIA+) instead of black and grey like the original, but you can put on whatever custom flag you want to throw in some more personality, i also bought two other patches too. i also put some of my pins on the V strap over the top, so there's room for personality there as well.all around a fantastic bag so far, and i'll update my review sometime in the future to comment on the durability.

Extremely useful
I love this backpack and wish I could give it more than 5 stars. I got it to hold my camera gear and a few essentials (like a change of clothing) when I travel and it is great. I had some leftover foam from redoing some chairs so I cut that to fit my equipment as padding, so the bag can hold even my 800mm lens, and it was a lot cheaper than the bags/backpacks made for camera gear. There are a bunch of pockets: 1 large/main compartment with a padded place to hold either a tablet or laptop; a second, slimmer compartment; and then two smaller compartments on the front (one at the top and one, larger one at the bottom). In addition, there is another zippered compartment in the back that is slim but very useful for things like travel documents and/or maps. I put a bit of padding in the main compartment, which is where I store my camera and lenses. The bag has some padding already, but I use the foam to keep the camera and lenses separated and protected. I use the second main compartment for clothing (or whatever), and then the two front pouches contain things like batteries, cables, memory cards, etc. THe botttom small pouch (and it isn't all that small, after all) is padded, so I'm comfortable putting things like my Kindle inside that pocket--it fits fine and has the pouch padding to protect it. Inside the main compartment is another pocket which could be used to hold an MP3 player as there is a small, flap-covered opening directly above it for use with wired headphones/buds. There are additional small pockets inside the other compartments, so with all the straps, etc, you can pretty much attach/bring along, anything you desire.Note: There is no side pocket for a water bottle, but I have a reusable water bottle with a loop so I just attach it to one of the straps and then tuck it beneath some of the side straps so that it doesn't swing around too much when I'm walking and that works just fine. On the other side, I attach my tripod in a similar fashion, i.e. secure it to the top loop with a small bungee, and then tuck the tripod under the side straps to keep it from swinging around when I walk--that works for me. Your mileage may differ. The small, topmost pouch also has the "fuzzy side" of velcro on the front, so if you have gear that has the hook side of velcro on it, you can attach it in that area--there is also a bit of elastic looped through that area so that anything attached with velcro can be further secured under the elastic.Because the gear can be heavy when the bag contains everything, I especially like the fact that there is both a chest strap and a waist strap to keep the padded shoulder straps in place and more evenly distribute the weight. The bag is therefore super easy and comfortable to carry, despite the weight. There are numerous straps that can be used with clips to carry more gear, as well.Overall, the bag seems to be very well made. The reverse side of the canvas has a rubbery coating to help make the bag water resistant. Since the zippers aren't covered by flaps, I wouldn't rely on the bag to be waterproof, per se, but it is certainly better protected than many bags I've used in the past.It works as a travel bag/camera bag for me and fits under a seat on the airlines. For me, it has been the perfect solution without costing the earth, and it's more flexible than a standard camera bag. When I don't want my camera gear with me (which is almost never, but still...) then it works as a good travel bag and can hold several days' worth of clothing and necessities. It is great for camping/hiking because I can set it on the damp ground and not worry about getting my clothing or other stuff wet thanks to the rubbery coating on the reverse side of the canvas.Frankly, this is the most useful thing I own at the moment.

3 Week Review... Very sturdy, and excellent support by the company
After just over 3 weeks, I can say that I am very pleased with this bag. It replaced a similarly sized bag from a different vendor that ended up wearing out after about a year.Multiple pockets are a huge benefit and really help for organization. I use this bag both for work as well as camping with the Boy Scouts so I can quickly adjust what I have packed. My pack cover from my previous backpack covers it well for inclement weather.Zippers are excellent - they seem extremely sturdy and have a lot of support and do not bind up around the corners as my previous packpack did. The molle is always a benefit and I find myself hanging all sorts of things from it -- hand sanitizer, an EDC flashlight, and a few carabeners for good measure. The velcro American flag was a plus, and I was able to transfer my velcro nametape over from my previous pack.I also wanted to make note that the owner also reached out to me to make sure I was satisfied. I have had no issues but I do find it great that the owner takes time to reach out to his customers from the beginning and not just when a customer complains. Top notch! The only con that I can find is that it does not have pockets on the side for my water bottles. I've managed to rig up a few carabeners to use that I can hook in to the side, but it's certainly not a deal breaker. The pack does have a pocket for a hydration pouch, but I just don't like those. I prefer to use 2 ea. smart water bottles -- but that's just personal preference and not a ding on the bag itself.I'll update in another few months or so to see how it holds up!
