Excellent pool pump. Very durable and easy to install. This pump is so quiet you barely notice it's on. Works great with Excellent suction. No leaks. Price was great and shipped fast.

I have a 300 Gallon pond in a nice spot. But it has leaves, pine straw and stuff fall in to it everyday. On some days where I did not have time to remove them, they ended up clogging the mag driver danner pump. Initially, between the drainage of the pond and the pump, I put "TotalPond PF850 Pressurized Biological Filter" hoping it will to trap this stuff. I was dead wrong, somehow, this thing get through that filter. I'm getting a little tired of having to celar this up on a weekly basis.Ordered this strainer (leaf trap) to be used instead of that PF850. And my problem is solved !!!Shipment is good and it got to me within 2 days prime speed. Packing was quite ok (could have been better but good enough to have no damage). It is made of good material quality - strong and sturdy. It can be used straight with high efficiency pump (for those high end high HP pump). In my case, I just went to Lowes and got myself the PVC adapters and it hooked up nicely to my 3/4 inch pipe. The lid has O-ring around it. I guess it might have been sitting on the warehouse shelf for a while. Although it is brand new, but it is impossible to twist it open.If you do have this problem, pour 1-2 cups of hot water to the side of the lid. Then it can be twisted open with ease. After inspection, everything is in perfect shape. Just need a little more greased on the O-ring.It has been a couple of weeks now, so far no more clogging. This thing works well as expected, easy to maintain. So, I am a happy camper.

This went on perfectly. The only thing to note is making sure you click this one the same way as the original so it will line up once tightened. (Also, take the o-ring off the old one to use on the new one or get a new one)

Correct fit and fair price

This filter housing arrived lightning fast and we had the pool pump and filter running within 15mins. The plastic top for our original housing cost $30 locally at the pool supply store... so it was great to get a new top (with the o-ring already lubricated), housing and strainer basket for $38 from Amazon.NOTE: Any petroleum oil or grease will ruin the o-ring seal on the top cover. Use the recommended silicone o-ring lube to keep the o-ring seal in top-notch condition.

I went out on a limb buying this from online instead of a brick and mortar. When it came it was exactly as the description said. It took about 5 minutes for my husband to install it on the pool and we were back in business!
