After only a few weeks of operation, one of the pads malfunctioned, flashing an F1 error code. Contacting the Summit support number (since it was under warranty) yielded several 'try this' troubleshooting actions that didn't work. Two weeks later, a second pad started with the same behavior. Summit sent me a control board and told me to contact a local service facility to have it installed. So, the earliest they could service the product was one month later. That time came and went - they lost my appointment and rescheduled for a week later.The bottom line is if you buy the protection plan that Amazon provides, they won't service the unit until after the warranty expires; the cooktop manufacturer has problems with servicing the products they sell, and if your cooktop isn't an integral part of your kitchen, then you're better off not getting this one or using other means to cook your food.UPDATE: The manufacturer sent the wrong parts to the electrical service contractor, and as expected, it didn't work. The correct part is on back order, and there is no ETA. So, I've had a lousy stovetop since December 2023. The warranty expires in December 2024, and the extended warranty purchased through Amazon will only do something then. I recommend that anyone on the market for appliances do so with a local store and avoid Amazon or online vendors.

This cooktop replaced my countertop, coil burner, which I had for 23 years. I do a lot of canning. I needed a cooktop that would be able to handle the weight of a water bath canner. This cooktop comes with a Euro Kera glass top. I did the research on this. I was impressed. With an induction cooktopI am learning how to cook with it. Heats up quickly and seems to cook a little hotter and quicker. Easy to clean. Be sure to read your manual on how to take care of your cook top. This is a 30 amp cooktop. Make sure your electrical line is the same or lower in amps or you will be tripping your breaker. Controls are easy to use. Also this cooktop cost quite a bit less in white than other brands of white cooktops. I did purchase pots and pans with magnetic bottoms. I would recommend this cooktop. My husband installed this he has an electrical and electronic background. I would talk to an electrician before purchasing if you aren’t knowledgeable with electrical home wiring. As of so far I am very pleased.

I return this item because it’s 1” to short on the depth of the stove 30” wide it’s on point but the depth is way to short compare to other stoves.. I’d place the item a day after it was delivered May 5. It’s 25 days later since the return and I haven’t got a refund on this item.. I’d never had a problem returning anything to Amazon or paying for a return, thats the reason I bought it here, I don’t recommend buying appliances here this is my last time.. I went back to Home Depot because of the uncomplicated return policy.

NOISY fan, always on while cooking plus shortly after. Markings are dark and distinct on nice white/opaque surface. Seller should inform buyer that signature is required upon delivery, not doing so caused 3 days delivery delay! while otherwise shipping was very quick.

First you buy this item, then pay for installation, and then an electrician to increase the electrical service,and then when there is an problem, instead of sending out a technician, they want you to mail this product back to them in New York, leaving a hole in the countertop and no way to cook. This is totally unacceptable. I have been cooking on induction cooktops for 30 years, and love the technology, but not this unit.

This unit gets pans hot RIGHT NOW!! I am graduating from an electric unit (Jenn-Air) and this is better. I thought electric was better than gas because there is less heat coming up around the sides of the pans, but this is really outstanding. OK, I have several pans that will not work with induction but that's a small price to pay. I LOVE IT!!

This stove top has induction written on each eye, and it looks awful. The company’s return policy is 25% restocking fee plus I have to pay for shipping. Awful customer service!

Fine unit, easy to install directions. You should have an electrician install, even if your just replacing a regular electric stovetop. Works quite well, touch controls are easy to use. Excellent fan motors for cooling. Less heat in kitchen, using induction. Very Satisfied Customer !
