Great product and best customer support.
The product that I received had a little problem. The illuminator did not fit the lens body properly. The seller took proactive action and reached out to me first and worked very hard resolve the issue. The replacement I received did not have any problem and it works very nicely. However, after not using a few month when I tried to use it agina, the light came on and off. I thought it was the battery, but replacing the batteries did not solve the problem. I took it apart to find out what is causing the problem. The problem was faulty wiring as in the attached picture. The wire was soldered very poorly and it worked only when it was touching the soldering point. It is still covered under warranty. I hope they can would honor the warranty. When it worked, it worked really nicely. I use this eyepiece to align my telescope with stars. The double line cross-hair works very nicely. It increase accuracy of goto functionality of the telescope and alignment accuracy of the finder scope very much.== update =======The seller (Retevis direct) replaced the unit at a small fee honoring the warranty. It is great customer service experience.Thank you again.

Has its ups and downs
For what I paid for this Svbony reticule EP, I reckon I got more than my money's worth. The build for the laser seemed a bit iffy but has proved to be durable enough. The eyepiece is a strange one. The crosshairs are perfectly placed and illuminate as they should but I found myself regretting their presence. For a time this was the best EP I owned at this focal length and the crosshairs were a bit of a distraction.Still, now it sees regular service aligning my GoTo mounts and dialling in the various finders I use. Functional, accurate, and affordable.

Better quality than expected.
Better quality than I expected for the price. Worked well in my finder scope.

Decent eyepiece at a decent price
If you wish to aim your scope accurately then this is a must. I have several of these eyepieces. While this is not pricey it works pretty well and it is very well made. The range of brightness is pretty wide for all tastes. Overall a nice buy. Not much else you can say about it.

Perfect for scope alignment
I purchased this for the sole purpose of aligning my push-to computerized telescope at the start of a viewing session. It should serve well for any other visual alignment related needs with a telescope. The crosshairs light up well, and you can adjust the brightness with a twist of the knob at the end (which also turns the light on and off). You do need to focus the eyepiece to see the crosshairs clearly, but this is easily done by spinning the top of the eyepiece until the crosshairs are sharp in view. The value on this eyepiece is great for me, as other crosshair / reticle eyepieces sell for almost twice as much. It spends relatively little time installed in my telescope, as it goes back in the case once I've aligned my telescope for the night. Stars focus as clear points of light, and that's all I need.

Reticule Eyepiece at a Modest Cost
There's no instructions, but the cross-hairs are first focused with the dial on top of the eyepiece followed by focusing on the object (e.g., a star) using the main focuser. The barrel portion that inserts into the telescope is polished instead of brushed - and there is no compression ring groove - so extra care is needed to prevent the eyepiece from slipping out when you first start out. The LED illuminator is turned on-and-off as needed since sometimes there's enough starlight and it is best to keep it off. Other times, it is too dark and illumination is needed to see the cross-hairs. If the illuminator floods out a star, then you will find yourself turning it on-and-off while locating the star (explaining the versatile design of the illuminator). When used in this way, it will be very accurate for such tasks as polar alignment or star alignment.(Additional note: If you need a compression ring groove, this might be available under another brand. I think it is called 'Gazechimp').

Illuminated eyepiece
If you use a 2000 mm telephoto lens it doesn't seem to work well for Polar Alignment. Have to use the guide scope. I use this to center the north star on the 2000 mm lens then use the preview on the guide scope and manually center it . That way both scopes are aligned to each other.

Not the quality I have seen from this brand ... disappointing
My purchase was a toss between this or the 20mm version. The latter has only a single reticle where this is a double and for half the cost of the 20mm. I got this one to help me be more precise alligning my GOTO mount. The 12.5mm is a bit too much magnification and less eye relief than I was hoping for, but this is not a big deal. A reducer lense should fix that for course allignment.Unlike many SVBONY products I have, the quality of this item falls short. I do not have the same issue as others regarding the paralax adjustment to focus the reticle. My issue is with the illuminator which is the primary reason for investing in an eyepiece like this. The switch and light sides of the barrel cannot be tightened enough to make battery access and replacement easy. Whats worse is that the threads of the illuminator don't seem to be the correct type to fit the side of the eyepiece. I can barely get 1 full turn which is enough for the illuminator to be secure but is so tight in an apprent potential cross thread that trying to remove the illuminator for storage has to be done very delicately so as not to remove the light side of the barrel and damage the illuminator. The pic attached shows the farthest I am willing to screw the illuminator into the eyepiece. It's very disappointing. The optics and double reticle are nice, but the illumator that makes the whole thing work is garbage. This item does not match the quality/cost compared to other SVBONY products I have for my telescope.
