Great DIY kit 9:1 Balun
Enjoyed putting this together, ease of assembly is quite straight forward as long as you have the right tools (unfortunately my soldering iron was useless so it took me a bit longer than it should), appreciate the seller sending detailed instructions in a PDF that helped massively, just send him a message. As you can see from my picture I used a 9v battery and a circuit tester to find out which wires belonged to which ends so I could label them up as I wrapped them all and forgot to label the ends. So that took a bit of working out. All part of the fun though. Basically attach both terminals of the 9v battery to two wires from one end then use your circuit tester to find out which pair give a reading. Once you have done this then depending on the result you get either +9v or -9v you can work out which wire belongs with which end. If you get -9v then the wires are reversed, if you get +9v then the wires are spot on. Either way you can label them easily using this method the rest is easy. Great quality kit and definitely value for money, by the time you bought all the bits separately then you’re looking a quite a bargain to be fair. Everything is good quality and it’s just so much more fun building your own stuff. One tip is to make sure you scrape of the lacquer with a Stanley knife or rub the ends down with some sandpaper to remove it or you won’t get any connections or results on your circuit tester. Complete kit.
Was nice to have a complete kit to build rather than scratching around for parts. Made the 9:1 end fed.Was easy to put together, and a relaxing project. It definitely worked too, which is a bonus.

Too fiddly for anyone who has bad eyesight and poor hand coordination
I don’t think for me at 68yrs old with problems with my eyes and hands that I should have bought this let alone tried to put it together 😂 o well .

Read the instructions.
On this product would recommend reading instructions if you are a noobie, when coiling wires advise you to use a vice and a drill.Used 1:1 balun getting skip from Europe.

a bit tight to build into the case
it works a bit tight in the case next size up would be good also pity it is a plastic case not an Ally case
