We had between 0 (the SOS icon on iPhone) and one bar at our small retirement home here in central Florida. To get decent signal, even for text messaging, we had to go to the middle of our street, where it would sometimes work. We had talked with neighbors and one of them had purchased something through AT&T but said they were very disappointed. After reading through several reviews we decided to purchase the Sidekick. This was our experience:1. Everything was packed very professionally, all the components were described well in the instructions, and nothing was missing.2. We followed step by step through the process of getting things installed correctly, the most important being the outside antenna and ensuring that we had things 'pointed' in the right direction.3. The inside and outside cables were plenty long enough to effectively place the outside antenna in the best location and to install the booster in a central location in the house.4. One thing we really liked was the separate 12" micro cable that allowed us to put cabling through the window and still be able to shut the window. Since this cable is designed for a closed window there isn't any kinking or other issues. Nice attention to detail by the manufacturer.5. We followed all the instructions to optimize placement and less than 10 minutes after we started I was in my home office enjoying a full four bars.6. That evening Liam, one of the technicians at HiBoost, reached out to me to make sure everything was working well. I relayed to him that we were very pleased and my wife and I were finally enjoying simultaneous video streaming with no interruptions. He asked for a few screenshots of the final numbers and agreed that we were set up very well.7. What made this very timely for us was that our internet went out for the past 3 days, and my wife and I are both tethering to our phone hotspots from our computers and enjoying a fast 5Ge connection.8. We're very pleased with our device, no more missed or dropped calls and a nice backup for us when our internet goes out here in our community.9. For us the value is great, signal strength is always 3-4 bars, and no issue. Highly recommend this product and this company!

I am really impressed with the sidekick. I wasn't sure how it would work at the campground because testing at home was hard due to the great cell service I have at home.I preset up the antennas at home so I knew what I wanted to do when we got our RV to our campsite.We are hoping to use this with just our Verizon phones and the hotspot and dump our ATT hotspot and save some money.The place we went was one of the best places to test since it is in the hills with lots of trees. So the results here would speak to future performance.After some tinkering with the direction of the towers and also I saw that someone said do not use a metal pole as it interferes with the signal, which I was using so I changed it out to a wood pole up top.I had placed the outside antenna at the rear of the RV about 25 feet high and the inside antenna was at the front of our RV. Changing my top metal pool for a wooden one changed dramatically for the better.LTE was at Super and the rest of the signals were good. Download went from 17 Mbps to 68 Mbps and Upload from .5 Mbps to 6 Mbps. This allowed streaming and remote work very easily with zero drops.I have built a PVC telescoping pole to replace my metal/wood pole that will allow me to also rotate it 360 degrees without undoing the antenna mount and collapse for travel. Cost $25 total. You can find telescoping poles but make sure it is not metal.Additionally I was contacted by Liam from Hi boost after registration to find out if I needed any help. I was doing fine, but he followed back up with me again to see how things went. This is great proactive customer service. I am confident that if I have problems that I will be able to reach out and get help.Great unit for an RV, keep in mind the distance needed between the indoor and outdoor antenna.
