feel like this was a waste of money. will be purchasing another brand.got woken up in the middle of the night to the fire alarm, tried silencing it but it said there was too much smoke to silence. there was NO SMOKE.. Additionally says my battery life is at 100% when the batteries are due to be changed. Not trust worthy in my opinion.

By buying this, I may have saved $200 however, I have no peace of mind. Installing the smoke and carbon monoxide detector required me to change my wireless networks from the 5G to the 2.4 G, and I had no issue with that, except that it does mess up my connection to my HomePod. But the only reason why I’m writing this review, it’s the hope to get an answer from the manufacturer and app developer. I purchased the 100 SMS/text alerts per year for $1.99 and yet I cannot get confirmation that I will be receiving those alerts. I am trying to set up what the app calls a “scene” and every time I am told that I have to pay for this. So now I don’t know what I paid for, and I feel like I got ripped off. The customer service number on the box is obviously not a customer service number because it did not pick up. I should’ve just bought the Nest one. Unless somebody from the company can confirm that I will be alerted if the alarm goes off while I’m away from home…

The description states 2.4 Ghz wireless network, understood and no biggie. The issue I had with connecting for a customer (own a small IT business) was that my phone and the customers phone were both connected to the 5 Ghz network. There was no separation in WiFi names (home 2g, home 5g). Apparently the phone you are using to set these up also need to be connected to the 2.4 network. It was a pain switching over to the 2.4 network on his particular network. But was able to get it done. After install was done, the customer is really happy with them. Just know the detectors will only work on 2.4 and the phone or tablet you are using to pair it with your WiFi also have to be connected to the same 2.4 network.

After reaching our to the seller he understood the problem and replaced the smoke detectors, great costumer service.In the middle of the night or during the day the alarm sounds on telling me " fire alarm please evacuate the building" I replace the batteries and still keeps sending false alarm! I was at work the other day, received the notification I was freaking out my dog was home alone and he was freaking out too thankfully I have cameras in my house and I was able to see that was another false alarm.I CAN'T trust this devise anymore:/ I bought 2
