Top specs air purifier significantly better that alot
There is only 3 brand of air purifiers which is consider the best this being one of them. Daikin, Panasonic and Sharp using electrostatic air purifiers with energy consumption in mind. Had Panasonic sold to UK their energy consumption per volume air filtered on paper is better meaning I would get that. Though keep in mind Daikin is marginally head of all other air purifier brands. As a user who keeps their air purifier on 24/7 this purifier is cheap to run, has longevity filter for upto 10 years and replacement purchasable if needed. On top of that its quiet where at speed 2 and 3 I can sleep through, with turbo option only needed if you want to clean fast. I run mine at speed 2 using 10w 24/7 though u can used speed 3 at 15w and it is more effective at cleaning the air per watt at speed 3.Solid build no problems so far will update if any problems.Only improvement they can improve in future products is more energy efficient and more air flow performance. Now what majority buy air purifier for how well it cleans and detect on auto mode. I can tell you if you spray any VOC it will pretty much instantly detect and ramp up speed to clean air. it detects dust and odours perfect if you need for pets or fumes. Definitely the best purifier I purchased and I have purchased 5 in total. Had for a month now definitely improvement in air quality compared to others. So if you looking for high quality air purifier that does not need replacement filters every 6-12months and cheap to run 24/7 costing me less than £15 a year this is it. Buy now

Good quality bit of kit which makes a noticeable difference
This was not the cheapest air purifier to purchase based on initial price alone, but one massive plus is the long life of the filters. When cheaper devices need expensive filters replaced every 6 months, this machine is actually a bargain in comparison. Just vacuum and it's good to go again. And it works, I burnt my bacon and this detected the smoke, automatically cranked up the power and the smell went away nice and quickly. It's smaller than I expected but certainly punches above it's footprint

The best Air Purifier that I ever used with sensitive 2.5/10PM particulate sensors, odour detector
This is the best Air Purifier we tried so far.We had four air purifiers, and they were miles behind this technically perfect piece of hardware from Daikin. The first one I bought was Levoit Smart Core 600s, then Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Pro, and then Philips Air Purifier Smart 2000i. In the end, I decided to return both the Levoit and Philips and purchase two additional Daikin MC55VB units instead. The Levoit 600s was great in filtering capability (the Philips 2000i was merely ok), but both of the units were useless in auto mode. The Philips 2000i was by far the worst of the four units. Both the Levoit and Philips only had an air quality sensor for small particles of PM2.5 in size. These are exhaust fumes, smoke etc., but they couldn't detect anything else like dust, pollen, or odour. If you live next to a busy road and breathe car fumes day and night, or you smoke at home or burn wood in a stove, the Levoit 600s is a great air filter that will do wonders in this scenario. But both the Levoit and Philips will be useless for anything else if you want them to recognise dust or smell and start filtering it out automatically. If you are on the other hand happy to manually adjust the speed of the fan every time you smell something, or you feel there is too much pollen or dust in the air, then they will filter it out, but they won't know to do it themselves. For £300 per unit, this is a pretty major flaw.Only after this experience, I realized that an air purifier needs sensors capable of monitoring larger particles (PM10) to detect pollen or dust. It needs an odour detector to detect smells and it needs a small particle sensor (PM2.5) to detect smoke and tiny dust particles. The Xiaomi Smart Air 4 Pro is as good at filtering air as the Levoit 600s, but it comes with the addition of PM10 sensor and a very rudimentary Negative ionization generator that is always enabled (unless manually turned off and on). It produces ozone in very small quantities, but there are better ways to do it with a cold plasma generator (see Daikin later on). The addition of PM10 sensor makes the unit much more practical as it is now able to pick up on pollens and normal-sized dust particles. It filters the air really well, it turns on high when there is smoke, car fumes, dust, and pollen, and it lowers the fan when there isn't. The Xiaomi 4 Pro air purifier works as one would expect, except it doesn't detect smells. If you have animals at home, you know how hard it is to keep them smelling fresh (or impossible). In this case, all three Levoit, Philips and Xiaomi air purifiers will sit there doing nothing running at the lowest fan speed, thinking the air is of perfect quality! Yet your cat could literally "f*rt" into it and it wouldn't know. This is where Daikin MC55VB takes the crown! It does it all! It has PM2.5, PM10 and odour sensors to account for any scenario possible. It also is the only air purifier of from this group and most that I've seen online that produces air ionization using cold plasma technology instead of simple ionization. It's a much safer and better way to keep the air clean of harmful viruses and other particles like dust. The best thing is that it's happening inside the air purifier instead of shooting the ionized particles out to the room like most units. The Daiking unit turns the fan on high when we come out of the shower and there are odours from shower gels, it goes on high filtering mode when there are smells from cooking, smoke from outside, animal smells from cats and dogs, when there is pollen or dust in the air. There isn't one scenario when the Daiking air purifier didn't come to life and start cleaning the air within seconds of the air changing in its vicinity. It has very sensitive sensors that let the machine act almost immediately when you smell something in the air. This is precisely how an Air Purifier should work! It's also meant to kill viruses like Covid, swine flu, colds, etc. within 2.5 minutes of filtering. A French laboratory tested and verified this, but I can only take it with a pinch of salt and hope the marketing people weren't running high on caffeine. Even if it does half of the job and cleans viruses as it claims, I would be a very happy customer. Now to compare Daikin and the second-best Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Pro.The main difference between them is in the negative ion generator and how it works to ensure minimal ozone escapes to your home. The Xiaomi has always enabled ionization that shoots the negatively charged particles out of the fan to your home. This is producing small quantities of Ozone that end up in your home.On the other hand, the Daikin is meant to create negatively and positively charged particles using a plasma generator to clean the air inside the unit, while it's passing through the filters. The resulting ozone molecules stick with dust/viruses/dirt/pollen and get caught on the electrostatic filter inside the unit. This way, the ozone doesn't escape into the air and doesn't cause potentially harmful ozone to collect in your home/room. It's a clever system. I can only assume that it works as they say.Reading about the plasma generator vs negative ion generators used in Bluair, Xiaomi, and other Air Purifiers, it seems that Daikin was the first to use a plasma generator to assure added safety and limit ozone release. Moreover, it only starts the plasma generator when the air has large amounts of dust or pollen in it. Most of the time it's running with normal filtration mode, with the plasma generator turned off. It does it all automatically and you can see what it's doing using the lights on the unit.Daikin went above and beyond with making this unit work for you, and not the other way around. The only negative is that it's not smart-enabled, so you can't control it from your phone, but it does come with a remote. For the price of £300 per unit, it can't be beaten.

Excellent
Still working perfectly after 2 years. No awkward maintenance required - just remember to hoover the side filters occasionally!

Good value for money
I bought both the bigger and smaller purifiers. Very happy with the big one, because it shows the quality of the air in the room. The smaller one doesn't. Very quiet, very happy with the sleep mode and it cleans the air in 15 minutes. Overall very happy with the product

Great air purifier from a great manufacturer.
This unit has a ten year dust filter and three cleanable pre-filters plus a carbon odour filter. On auto the unit has sensors that detect dust particals and size plus odours to vary the top outlet fan speed. You can also use it on manual to suit your needs. I can confirm this does have remote controller. Not having to keep purchasing expensive dust filters every 4-6 months will save you fortune so will offset the cost of this brilliant unit.

Produces lots of ozone!
This purifier produces a lot of ozone. Smell is overwhelmingly strong! The ozone is extremely dangerous for birds, which I have at home! There was no warning about the ozone. I could kill my birds because of that! This should be clearly stated that the product is not suitable to use in presents of animals. Really angry and disappointed.
